do I have to change this picture to a document, too?

I am trying to send a picture that is on one of these forums to someone.

I highlighted the picture, then copied it, then pasted it- but only the written words showed up on the body of the letter- not the picI must have to do something different to send just the picture?

Right click the picture and "save as"...it will probably save as a .jpeg. Put it where you know where it is. Then in your e-mail, cick, "insert" "picture" and find where you put it and go from there...this is if you are using Outlook Express.

There are 2 ways to do this. The simplest is to send the person the link to the page, that way they get to see the picture also any comments in the thread that might be of interest. To do this open the needed page, right click on the page address at the top of the screen, click 'Copy'. Now create your email, click in the body of the email so the cursor is flashing there, right click, click 'Paste'. Done.

Or, find the picture, right click on it
in the drop down menu click 'Save image as...'
notice at the top of this window where you are saving - probably My pictures
click Save
now create your email and attach in your usual way

Shaddy click here and scroll down to the pic I posted there. You would like your folders to look like the top half of that picture instead of like those in the bottom half. Is that right? Actually you can flip back and forth between the two layouts as often as you please. Notice on the pale blue header it says Organise - Share with - and over to New folder? Continue looking to the right along that line and you see a small square with a tiny down arrow. Click that down arrow to change your view to however you want the page. Play with various settings so you can see what is available. I sometimes use the 'Extra large icons' to locate pics then change back to my usual view of 'Details'.

1) I didn't even think about custom cabinets as an option because I assumed they would be too expensive. When I received a quote for the semi-custom brand I planned to order, I was shocked at the cost, so decided to get a few custom cabinet quotes just to see. They were surprisingly close in price (some custom lines were actually much lower). Since I wasn't limited to specific sizes, it greatly improved my whole design, allowed me to get a bigger sink and some other custom options. It also changed the entire look of what I originally planned. I went from full overlay, raised panel to beaded inset, recessed panel doors. It's really more like the look I wanted all along. 2) After demo, we decided to move the main kitchen doorway over a few feet, which allowed us to include a buffet which will house a much needed appliance garage and provide a lot of extra storage. 3) One of the last minute changes was to a farmhouse sink. I had originally ruled it out based on the likeliness of it chipping, but someone on GW mentioned the video demo of the Kohler cast iron apron front sinks and I was sold. 4) One change early on in the planning stages involved the windows. We had a large, beautiful bay window where the kitchen table was and a very small window over the sink. There was no question we were going to change the sink window to three much larger windows, but I was playing around with the idea of eliminating the bay window altogether and extending the run of sink windows. We did that and it brought in so much more natural light and we gained so much more cabinet space. It greatly enlarged the whole kitchen area.

Builder's crew cleared too many trees. Do I have any options?

Some people, including many builders and construction workers (and a few who have posted here) do not value trees. To me, this is a battle worth fighting and I would not just let this go. We have a number of century old Douglas Firs that define the personality of our property. During construction, I had to put up construction fencing and fight to keep trucks off of the roots, as our GC thought I was nuts. Is yours a deciduous woods or coniferous? If coniferous, you might look into having them plant mid-sized Western Hemlocks, which will grow well in the shade of other trees. (Douglas Firs require full sun.) We have 20-year-old Douglas Firs on our forestry deferral acreage, and in 14 years they've gone from waist high to very tall and now cast dense shade. Hemlocks are also fast-growing. Another thought would be to have them plant understory trees and shrubs between the woods and your drive. This would be beautiful and would be of benefit to wildlife — and turn lemons into lemonade.

Unfortunately, there's a good chance that you'll have to change the entire unit. If you can determine who made it, you might try contacting the manufacturer to ask if it's serviceable and whether replacement parts are available. They may not be. I've run into cases where parts weren't available because the manufacturer was running low profit margins, and didn't want to spend any money to get UL certification for spare parts. I've heard of electronics hobbyists repairing their own LED lights in such cases. But this isn't something the average homeowner could do. I've been hesitant to go all in for dedicated, one-piece LED fixtures for this very reason. It's not so bad if you have only one fixture per room, but what if you have 2 or more? If you want them all to match, and you can't find a match to the failed one, what can you do? You either put up with a mismatch, or buy replacements for ALL of them. What a waste. That isn't a problem if you use good old fashioned incandescent fixtures, and install retrofit LEDs.

Sorry maybee, I was not trying to answer over you. I guess I was typing while you had the answer already up there. Takes me a while to type with 2 fingers.

I do that all the time owbist I start typing an answer when there were none above me then in the middle of typing get a phone call or go let the dog out or some other distraction (ok ok I type slow too) then by the time I finish the reply and hit submit there are others that have already answered and I am repeating, I think it has happened to all of us. That is why having an edit button on the reply box is so helpful! I love how on some of the other forums I am on will pop up a little warning telling you that there were posts submitted while you were typing and you may want to read them first. So helpful.

maybee, owbist, raven.. Yes, I had to do that- use OE, the pic got downloaded to 'my pictures', and then send it- but the problem with that,, is I use space, and then I have to delete the pic from my pic. I tried right click with Yahoo, then filling out my email message and then right clicking in the body, but nothing happened. Because I was having problems with Yahoo mail the other day, that the tech observed while on my computer with me, I wonder if I am just plain have Yahoo mail not working for some reason?? I hope deleting occasional pic won't be hard!

this is a bit off.. but I told you that the tech had me empty my start up programs- (take some off), because my pointer was freezing every 10 seconds or so. Well, it didn't work- it is still freezing. I looked in Systems Monitor, and there are 2 green spikes- to about 100 there isn't any 'time spread'- just one line up. I watched while the red cursor went across the page- the pointer froze when it hit those 2 green lines. Do I just have to live with this, or is there a way to get rid of the spikes. The pointer freezing is a pain. I had no other browsers/programs running- just opened Systems Monitor.

In the past, you had me do scans, I did them- they found nothing.
