Thanks Linda.

I took pictures, and will post them either later this evening or tomorrow.

I just wanted to let her know I got it, and um, I have chocolate on my chin. ;)

I'll post pics and explain a bit later.

Okay Photos..and Yes Raspberry jam..which is my very favorite jam!
I make it every year, both canned and freezer. I'm out of both right now, so this jar might make it to July, when I can make my own.

Items unwrappedA kitchen towel and apron. She sent them because the wall color of my new remodeled kitchen is called Mexican Chile. LOL An old flip top canning jar, from Linda's kitchen for me to make my own candle in and enjoy. A jar of beautiful raspberry jam Linda made, and the white box is filled with yummy little raspberry truffles Linda must have made too, oh and a "little" package for my boys. Smiley face bandaids. My 5 year old was excited about them.

Hi all, we got our secret santa box today. Thank You Dorothy. We love it. Below are some pic's. The first is of the mug and the coco that came in it. Yummy! Good with a candy cane. From secret santa gift The next is the box it's self and some of the wonderful stuff in it. A two year dayplaner, some bug magnets, some post-it notes, a box of chocolate rocks (more yummy), a musical angel bear, and.... From secret santa gift Santa salt and pepper shakers, fishing pole filled with candy, mini pen and highlighter, two mugs with a stocking in each, a can of chocolate wafers, one Amaryllis bulb, metal name tags, 5 brug cuttings - Dora, strawberry and cream, texas pink, serandipity, and double white, and many packets of seeds - Zinnia, Baby's Breath, Cosmos, Dianthus, Marigold, Forget me not, Daisy, Lettuce, Aster, Bachelor's Button, and Pumpkin Peppers. No, I don't have mine yet, but I have the Post Office from hell. In the last two months: 1. I mailed a pkg in Dec that still isn't there. 2. I helped a neighbor find the mailbox where the mail should have gone, that was in her box. 3. Found another neighbors mail on the ground under the mailbox. 4. Had a call from the PO saying they couldn't deliver a package because I didn't have a mailbox. (Same one for 7 yrs.) 5. Argue with me at the PO that I didn't live at the address where I said I lived. 6. Couldn't find the pkg at the PO, but later did and it was marked "vacant house but they were home", and had another address also written on the pkg by the PO. 7. One package returned to sender. 8. Had a magazine delievered to me that belonged to my best friend that lives a couple of miles away. I guess they were stuck together and so I got both. 9. Token, I think you mailed to me on Jan 16th. Is that right? I think I will be last to receive the package, if I get it at all......and they want to raise the cost of postage !!!!

If refrigerating, bring to room temperature before using. Blanch the asparagus in lightly salted boiling water for about 3 minutes or until crisp-tender; do not overcook. Got home this afternoon for lunch and picked up my mail....there it was .... a box from my Secret Santa! Yikes! Now I have to wait for "opening day" ... do we have any ideas on that score? Haven't sent mine out yet, but it will probably go out by the end of the month. Shall we select a date for everyone to open their gifts? That way we can post thanks and photos of our goodies. How about mid-December, perhaps on a Sunday afternoon? Any other thoughts on that? Odessa p.s. Thanks, Santa! I can't wait to open my box.

I love the idea of the jar for you to make a candle in. That was a great idea.

Another one with homemade goodies! Wow! I love that! The jam sounds delicious. Those truffles are yummmmmmy looking! I love the apron and towel!!! Love the jar,too. The bandaids were a really, really sweet touch! Nice job!!

I love the presentation - such beautifully wrapped gifts! I have to admit - I didn't wrap mine this time...Beautiful Linda - and coming from someone who doesn't make jam or anything "canned" that jam sounds wonderful!

I am so glad that you like everything and that it arrived intact. Raspberry Jam is among my favorites, too. If you open one of the bandaids you will see that it is a little "different."

I speak from experience - Linda's Raspberry Jam is INSANE!!! It really is so good, you won't believe it. I can't wait for this summer for Linda to teach me how to make it.

The truffles look amazing as well as everything else. You are a lucky lady.

I've been the lucky recipient of Linda's jam, too, and it is definitely a special gift.

The truffles look great, I sure wouldn't turn one down. The chili pepper towel and apron is a great play on your kitchen too.

Raspberry jam? That stuff is so good. Linda gave us some at our get-together in CT. It's one of those things that tastes so good you want to save it, but you just can't.

And you already made a candle with the jar she sent. That's cool!

Terri, how smart to hide the truffles in the freezer, but can you actually forget they are there. I couldn't!

I could hide the truffles in the freezer, but would be in there constantly until they were gone. LOL I gently microwave my truffles, and eat one with a small scoop of Breyer's vanilla bean ice cream. Yum!

Truffles are gone..Freezing wasn't the best for them.
But they didn't taste to awful after warming back up.
(lol)
