New router - setting problem (access)

homebound

I set up both a new main home computer and a Tenda wireless router for a home network, which is WEP-A pass-protected. While access is fine for all computers, there is a major problem. When any new computer tries to access the network, they also have some admin wireless network privileges that allow them to retool the settings and password! Crazy. This is prior to logging in with the network password. One of our teens inadvertently changed the encryption from their laptop during their first set-up. Apparently anyone nearby could do it. Any idea what's going on and how I can eliminate this access? Thanks much.
