Where does everything go?

I think I've become addicted to investigation television on Court TV and A&E. Was watching a program Saturday, where an investigator stated "everything you do and search for on the computer can be retrieved" or something to that affect. I'm wondering where it all goes and how to view or delete it short of performing fdisk.. I think I understand about it going into addresses and is there until those addresses are written over. If someone else can retrieve the information, can't I?

If you want to practice retrieving information from your
hard drive try Scavenger. Your allowed to retrieve pictures
for free. (Demo Download) To retrieve files you will have to
pay for a license. You won't be allowed to retrieve to your
existing hard drive. That's to keep you from overwriting, for
your protection. You can retrieve to an exterior hard drive,
Sandisk, Flash drive and probably to a second hard drive,
not sure. After you have selected the pictures your after and sent to the exterior hard drive or (whatever your using)
You can than move the pictures to your computers hard drive.
It's been awhile for me. Look for this.

Scavenger
After you download it's best to put it on a CD. That way
you can use it to recover without overwriting files you need to recover. When you put it into your tray it's ready to
use. Click on the header Type to group all your JPEG pictures. Either stop or wait for the search to finish for
clicking Type to work best.
Trial and Error to learn to use it.

It will mostly stress your plant rather than kill it. Milk is a natural fungicide. It won't smell spoiled. It doesn't have time to sit in liquid form to do so. Most of it evaporates. All milk is not created equal. Try organic whole milk that has not been pasturized (if you can find it). The less processed it is, the better. You can use one to five parts of milk out of 10 parts of water. So one part milk + nine parts of water up to a 50/50 solution. Bicarbonates have been shown to affect the pH and provide desiccation and other direct action on cell membranes of funguses, such as powdery mildew, downy mildew and botrytis. Potassium carbonate (baking powder) has shown better results than sodium carbonate (baking soda). It was shown to destroy powdery mildew even after the host was infected. They require something to spread the bicarbonate and "stick" it to the leaf like vegetable oil, horticultural oil, or a dish detergent. "Mary Louise Flint, University of California at Davis, Director of UC Integrated Pest Management Education & Publications says, Ã¢ÂÂA simple fungicide can be made at home by combining 2-1/2 tablespoons of horticultural oil (Sunspray Ultra-Fine, Saf-T-Side, etc.) in a gallon of water and adding 4 teaspoons baking soda. This solution is sprayed on plants to prevent powdery mildew infections. Sprays of both potassium bicarbonate and baking soda can injure the plant, so use these materials with caution. Also, baking soda sprays can have deleterious effects on soil structure and should be used sparingly.Ã¢ÂÂ Spray both sides of the leaves until they are dripping early in the morning. CPU usage is at 8-10 percent. I looked at Norton briefly and didn't see any activity going on...how do I go in and exclude a program from it? it is Norton Systemworks basic edition, just renewed (online subscription). I'm on Windows XP. WME has been "encoding the first pass" since last night. I'm assuming I did everything right, since there were no instructions for newbies of WME. I selected my MPG file, selected WMV as the output type, DVD quality for video, and CD quality for audio. The choices did say "VBR" or "CBR" which I didn't know the difference of...so I chose CBR.

Sorry this happened, especially when you have other things going on. The timing is bad luck, since even though a countertop obviously isn't as important as family, you certainly didn't know this would happen when you set your schedule. Now, you have to deal with it right away. It'll be tough, but you should stand firm, rather than just letting it pass to get it over with. It sounds too big and prominent to let them just fix it. I think it's especially bad that they seem to have known about the problem and tried to hide it! Best of luck.

I store all food items that don’t go in the fridge in the pantry. Beyond that, I thought about what I would be doing where and put things accordingly. I knew I would be doing baking on my longest counter, which is also near the pantry. So around there I store mixing bowls, cake pans, rolling pin, measuring cups etc. I have one roll out shelf in the pantry dedicated only to baking ingredients. Closer to the sink I put glasses and dishes, near the stove, pots and pans pot holders, spices, etc. near the coffee maker, coffee supplies. In one hard to reach cabinet I gave store all liquor, etc. another hard to reach cupboard has most of my serving dishes, plus pitchers, ice bucket, etc. another high shelf has all of my Christmas dishes, glasses, etc. in my lazy Susan corner I put all of my smaller electric appliances: pressure cooker, food processor, blender, waffle maker, fondue pot, vacuum sealer, hand mixer, etc etc.

Cboy and PoohBear, thanx so much for your help and links. Pooh, it all looks simple enough, but I wonder why Microsoft does this. I am imagining all the hard drive space I'll get back.
