I used to work in Miami (Dade County) but I lived in the Ft. Lauderdale area (Broward) county. This is quite common. Depending on what part of Miami your husband will be working it is an easy commute. Miami is very crowded and full of zero lot line developments - not much room for goats. Any house/land with room for animals is going to be quite pricey....especially compared to Arkansas home prices. The cost of living will be dramatically higher than central AK. I am quite happy to be out of there! I would suggest going to a home website like homes.com and browsing through homes for sale and you'll get a good idea of what it is like. Now if you are looking for a diverse culture with a multitude of entertainment options and people everywhere - than you'll love Miami.

Mikkel: I don not think that you will have much luck looking for Kola nut trees in central Asian. I lived in Sierra Leone, West Africa for several years. Kola nuts were plentiful. The weather is typical of monsoon climates - hot and dry from October through April, then warm and wet from May through September. As to plantations....many people grew kola nut trees, but it often done on a rather small scale. I saw oil palms, coffee trees, and cacao trees being grown in plantations, but never kola nut trees. Most farmers would happen to have a few orange trees, mango trees, avocado trees or kola nut trees, but these did not bring in a lot of cash the way those other crops did. Hope that this helps, Dan

Tough to tell exactly what it is without a closer photo, but it isn't a venomous species. It is a juvenile of one of the "racer-like" snakes. If I would have to guess, it is a juvenile of one of the following genera: Chironius - "Sipos" Dendrophidion - "Forest Racers" Drymoluber - "Woodlands Racer" Mastigodryas - "Tropical Racers" All of those genera are harmless and I strongly suspect it is one of the species in those genera. It is not one of the Colombian coralsnakes nor is it any species of viper.

Interesting, and different from the US Electrolux/Kenmore/Frigidaire clones. Note the video image of the wok cooking illustrating the ability of the induction field to reach up to the pan. Also, from http://www.electrolux.com.au/products/cooking/cooktops/ the units seem to be 36 inches or smaller in width, so they are marginally too small to fit a 36-inch cutout for a US Electrolux product. With respect to the US versions, the Kenmore and Frigidaire units that I have used operate the same, and I believe this applies to Electrolux branded units also as they all use the same instructions: Each hob has its own control space. The control has a means of establishing on/off, and up and down arrows to change the hob power level. Turning a hob on and pushing the up arrow results in power boost; pushing the down arrow results in level 1 (10% power, I think). Intermediate levels are obtained by use of up or down arrows. There is also a 'low' setting available I don't want to try to explain here. Smaller power hobs are paired such that both cannot be at full power at the same time. Turning one hob (forget whether first or second) to power boost will drop the power of the second hob to a lower setting.
