One way: there's a box at the top of a post that says "Image file to upload (optional). Click on the grey "Browse..." button. It will open up the file system on your...are we talking computer, smartphone, tablet? Say it's your computer. You click around your file system to locate the picture file you want, then double click on the picture when you find it. It will fill the empty box. Then you can post that photo. Another way: get a free photobucket account, upload your photos to your account, then copy the "HTML" code associate with each photo and paste it into your message post. Another way: get a free flickr or photobucket or picasa or some other photo site account, and post a link to your photo on that site. There's a youtube video on posting a photo to a forum, via photobucket, you could have a look at that. Most forums use the IMG code for photos, but gardenweb uses the HTML code, so that bit is different...but it could give you an idea of how easy it is. Hoping that helps! I upload pictures to a folder on a friend's web server, and use the same html link to his folder, instead of a photo-hosting website. Claire over on the New England Gardening forum uses Tinypic. According to her, the advantage of TinyPic.com is that it's very easy to upload one photo and link to it, and you don't have to set up an account. The disadvantage is that you can only upload one photo at a time, which is not useful if you want to show many photos. Claire's instructions for using Tinypic.com: 1. The photo files on your computer must be in a format such as jpeg or jpg. 2. Using Tiny Pic, you hit the "Choose File" button and it searches your computer desktop. 3. Choose one then select a size ("Resize" button), and then UPLOAD NOW. 4. When the file is uploaded, copy the HTML tag, not the IMG tag. 5. Paste the HTML tag in your post. Karen - good idea, I never would have thought of that. Personally, I am used to doing cut-and-paste all the time so I don't give it a second thought. And on the topic of tomatoes in pots, I have finally finished the... Container Growing page. Just got it done today. All you container gurus, let me know if I've left out anything important. Steve - I thought I posted a reply to your offer, but apparently I didn't. I thought I would need more pics than I actually did...maybe later this summer, I can put up a photo or two of my own fully-grown container tomato. Thanks!
