Personally I think it is a FFv28 concern. I am always current with Flash and Shockwave, but ever since the release of v28 I too have had the delay at times. I've even crossed over to an alternate browser to view the targeted page at times. This maneuver works without delay. I've updated to the recently released v29, but it is too early to tell if there is an improvement. DA

Uninstalling Firefox may leave the user profile data intact for a reinstall. Suggest uninstalling again and manually deleting all the profile data. Reinstall, which will then create a new user profile. Backup your bookmarks before uninstalling and deleting the profile, so you can import them into the new profile. There's a backup function (and import function) under Bookmarks / Show All Bookmarks. I had a situation recently in which Firefox stopped working with my online banking billpay service. The page would load with no errors but blank. IE worked OK but I refuse to use IE. Just my local bank. Three credit card accounts elsewhere, brokerage account, and other secure sites worked OK. Local bank worked OK with the Firefox Default user, which is not the profile I use for myself. I keep Default bare with no add-ons or bookmarks saved. Apparently something went awry in my user profile. I created a new profile (without reinstalling), copied bookmarks to it from my previous profile, reinstalled my add-ons, and that solved the problem.

I continue to use FF 32 on my XP box with no problem, but on my Vista box the "unresponsive script" errors are nonstop. Uninstalling & reinstalling didn't help (I didn't install any add-ons), nor did Opera and Chrome. I am now running Maxthon on the Vista and while I don't care for the interface it does run very well so far. I also tried Midori and I wanted to like it, but it kept crashing on me especially while trying to print something.

Got a response from Tamara already. Here's her advice (coincidentally the same work around tracie.erin posted above). Hi Lisa, The fact that you're running the latest version of FF is the problem. Not YOUR problem, but it's an issue that isn't playing nice with some of the site and ad codes, since FF updated to the new version last week. They are working on a fix, but in the meantime instead of clicking on a link that you want to open, if you right click it and choose 'open in new tab', you can avoid the script error. I know it's not optimum, but it's go-around. You can also try a different browser, but if you use IE9, you'll need to make sure that you've enabled the Compatability View or you'll get the same error.
