As it turns out, they can turn spell-check off, at least in a specific HTML element. Why would a site would want to do that? I don't know, perhaps just to make me feel dumb. Ginny, AutoHotKey is a small, easy to learn, free programme that will do exactly what you require and much much more! You can simply edit one of the example files using Notepad and change it to suit your needs. If you make a mistake nothing gets harmed - just keep trying until it does what you want. It is even easier to use if you read the help file first because it explains everything in simple terms! I have made a file for you that starts Firefox and Word at the same time when you press WinKey and q together. Just open Notepad and copy and paste the following few lines into it and save the file as "win q.ahk" (without the quotes). It works when you press the WinKey and q together. Testing.... just downloaded Firefox but it is not my default browser right now but maybe it should be. I will see how I like it. OK, I will now spell a few works wrong and see if it corrects them for me. Shih Tzu dog is what my Panda is. She is sitting on my lap. It underlined words with a squiggly lines but did not offer suggestions to correct them. But at least I was told the words looked mispelled. Thank you! I still need a spell check for other forums that need me to use Internet Explorer like my tax program forum.

It comes with. Go to Tools at the top of your screen. Then click on Options. In the window that comes up, click on Advanced, and select the General tab. Look under Browsing, and check the last box. It says something about allowing spell checking. Ask me how I know!
