Hi, Can you explain "mechanical damage"? I have slits in that shape on all my tomato plants, but not on any others. Looking around the yard as a whole, I see lots of plants and weeds with holes as shown in the third picture. Also if this is due to aphids or flea beetles, or really any small pest like that, what is a good, safe preferably organic remedy to deter or kill the pests? Another note - I was looking around out there again today and noticed that on both the tomatoes and the green peppers, the junction between the main stalk and the stems is darkened, not quite black, but pretty dark... Does that help?

I call them Dream Merchants. Really they are not selling a product but a dream. Went to one Amway party and the poor presenter spent an hour "explaining" to me that it was not about selling dreams. Alas, the first page in the Amway sales book says you have to "sell the dream". Pretty certain I ruined his Amway career. The scam is to sucker people into selling carp for you. You get them excited about being rich without having to actually work. Show a pyramid chart and talk about the hundred if not thousands of people that will soon be "working" for you. Stop to show some pictures of a tropical beach location. Continue by projecting huge wealth if thousands of people all sell this stuff for you everyday. End up by noting that some people deserve fabulous wealth and it can be theirs if only they cough up a hundred bucks to join your sales team. Not everyone wants to be wealthy so not everyone joins your team.... don't you want to be filthy stinking rich without working? I got sucked in by AFLAC. Resurrecting this one! My first ever set of charger plates are on order in time for Christmas Day ... and now I’ve realised that I don’t actually know what to do with my crockery, when. I’ve seen all the photos with the crockery (dinner and salad plate) on top of the charger, with the napkin on top or to the side... but what are the actual mechanics of getting the salad onto the salad plate and the Turkey dinner onto the dinner plate?? Do I clear the crockery when people sit down and give them a fresh, pre-plated salad? Or not have the salad plate out to start with. (The salad will not lend itself to self serve...). Then the starter is done, I clear the salad plates... and I’ve got cold dinner plates left on the charger. Do I just clear them and pop them in the oven or warming drawer while we carve the Turkey? I was planning on plating up the Turkey then letting guests add the trimmings, so the also need to be able to hold their own plates without gloves... help!
