I just did a quick check and it seems to work fine for me: CTRL-B to open bookmarks at left. Then drag the SYMBOL that's in front of the address into the bookmark FOLDER NAME (not into the body of the list). (You're basically dropping the link onto the folder's NAME). You can do the same thing with the bookmarks toolbar for your most used stuff. Be sure to rename it something short, so you can squeeze more links onto the toolbar. (right click the link, then properties...)

What I like even better, if you happen to be using firefox browser, is the add-on extension called fission. It combines address bar and progress bar, the address bar at the top where you type in the website you want to go to becomes colored and the color progress across as the page loads so you can see the progress. Easy to see since it is up there too. I will provide the link for that add-on. There are some other firefox add-ons that do the progress bar down at the bottom of the page in the manner you are talking about too. you can go to the mozilla.org site for the firefox add-ons and do a search for progress bar. I just added Firefox for the first time this past weekend; it's version 3.5.3 which I believe is the latest. At Adobe, I installed/reinstalled Flash Version 10.0.32.18. It is for Windows, Firefox, Safari and Opera. I also installed the Flash Player 10 PlugIn 10.0.32.18 which is for Firefox. I tested at the Adobe site and they report Flash 10.0.32.18 was successfully installed. I also checked C:\Windows/system32/Macromed/Flash and found Flash10c.ocx and NPSWF32.dll there. During the time that I was still trying to get IE7 to work, I followed some directons using Start, Run and then entering each of the following separately, followed by clicking OK. They were regsvr32 mshtml.dll regsvr32 shdocvw.dll regsvr32 browseui.dll regsvr32 msjava.dll Success was reported with the 1st three, but on the last the message was: LoadLibrary ("msjava.dll") failed. The specified module could not be found. I googled it and one site said it won't be found because MS's Java has been replaced by Sun's version. Another site listed programs it's known to affect - Macromedia Flash was on the list. Since I recognized the work Java, I reinstalled that program just in case it might solve the video problem - it didn't. Since this all began somewhere in the process of updating to IE7 (which I then uninstalled) I did reinstall IE7 hoping for a magic solution - it didn't happen. I do plant to continue with FF, however. Is there a program (or maybe it's a tool that's already on my computer) that would show what's happening behind the scenes when the video is "loading"? There was a time that Firefox (and its Netscape predecessor) offered a better experience than Internet Explorer. I think that time has passed. I've had too many quirky incidents and problems with Firefox lately, so I've stopped using it. My experience is that IE has improved a bunch while FF has sunk, and Chrome is also solid (though it seems to be not as compatible with some web features as IE is). Life is too short to drink bad wine. It's also too short to struggle with one free browser, when there are a half dozen also free alternatives that are perfectly satisfactory.
