2 things you can try: If you are logged on as the Administrator and you moved the icons to areas you want...then Right - Click on a blank area of your desktop and select "View"...and uncheck "Auto Arrange" and "Align to Grid". I am using Firefox. So far today things seem to be running ok. The pictures were not a camera photos but images of something found on a website by my friend. Usually she or I will find a cute idea to craft and will send a picture of it. No problem in the years or days past everything always opens. Even when my friend had sent me a link to a site all I got was that blank page. Maybe firefox caught up with the new Adobe reader. Iris I don't get anything like this in my e-mails. The images just always open. On my list is to buy a pictorial Windows 7 book. I could really use it. I thought I may do ok with this new widows but there are some things that is different or sofware like my music software that will not work as it was outdated and no longer being made. Still have to work this issue out.

When this problem surfaces on a new installation, it is possible (albeit unlikely) that one of the sashes was manufactured slightly too tall. In a situation where there are existing windows that have been installed for awhile, the problem typically arises from a poor quality window that bows, or a poor installation that worsened the condition over time. Modern vinyl windows have fully welded sash stiles and rails, so it is not possible to disassemble. They have snap-in glazing beads that pop in and out for glass replacement. Even the older mechanically fastened units use that same method, and it would be very tedious and not at all advisable to try and cut down the height of a sash. Generally speaking if you are seeing a situation similar to the OP in your inspections with a 15 yr old home/window, it has just about reached its life expectancy. A high quality product regardless of material can/should last far longer, however it is VERY rare to find anything better than "builder-grade" quality windows in a situation such as that. That would be my reinforcement to the OP in this post as well: if it is not something as simple as the upper sash having drifted down (assuming of course that they are double, not single hung), you are getting to the point where you should start planning for replacement with a quality product. I don't want to sound like a sleazy window salesman in saying that, but unfortunately that is likely the case if you want to see any level of improved performance from your windows.

On my Old Acer Aspire 5742z-4601 I only need push the Num Lock Key in the Upper Left Corner of the Number Pad on my Laptop. Next time I turn on the computer the Num Lock is Still engaged unless I would press the Num Lock Key again. Maybe it's a computer sensitive feature. I checked the Keyboard Icon in Control Panel and there were no settings for Number Lock! Just went in and checked my Self-built AMD Phenom II w/Logitech MX5500 Keyboard/Mouse Combo. There were No Num Lock Keys like on my Laptop. When I opened the Calculator my Number Pad worked. I checked in the Logitech Settings for the Keyboard and didn't see any settings. Just looked at our other 3 Laptops and They all had Num Lock Keys. My wife is on her Old Lenovo G560 Laptop right now so I can't check it. The other Two are for Birthday Presents for my Wife and I. She doesn't know I purchased them, and with her here I can't get them out to check them (I did see they have Num Locks though). These Two computers are Acer Aspire V5 573P-6896 Ultrathin Laptops (I've installed Windows 10 on all of my Windows computers, even the new two). At this point I can just assume that they all work when freshly booted. I will know more tomorrow. But nothing I've found so far can help you!
