What color to paint siding with red brick foundation?

I would love your suggestions on what color to paint the siding of our new home. The basement foundation will be covered in a red brick with buff mortar. The brick has some dark variation in it. The house is a story and 1/2 (looks like a cape cod with a porch) with an attached garage. Would love pics too of anything you have done and love.

Suggesting a color without actually seeing, at least, a good picture of the brick is something that I would not do.
I can make a preliminary selection based on a picture but the final decision is always based on a real sample.
There are many variations of "red" brick. Some can have orange undertones.

If you find that the "buff" mortar has a nice contrast to your red brick, maybe you can start there, perhaps one shade lighter or darker. Any trims?

sage greens work well, the shutters could go, or be replaced a bit larger. the front door needs to be a pop since its set back, maybe a blue tone. soft yellow trim is nice with this combo

I would say either Driftwood, Estate Gray or Onyx Black based on your brick color, although it's hard to tell the colors in the brick from your photo. The roof color you choose would impact the siding and shutter colors. When you do the shutters I would not reinstall them on the double windows under the porch. have you decided what you'd like the final result to be? do you like the red brick and the vintage ranch style or would you like to modernize it? Now would be the time. As for the red brick, there are products like Romabio w/very little maintenance upkeep. their masonry paint is guaranteed for 20 years. and it's natural, a mineral product. If you took away the metal posts, added the cedar, painted the brick white, and did something like this, it would look amazing brick painted a deep warm charcoal, added wood elements and a bit more modern redos. Ditto the gray selection. I love a gray cape cod . . . and depending on the brick you can do light/dark etc. and some trend towards blue and others don't - lots of flexibility there. White trim and black shutters and charcoal gray roof (we have Moire Black and it is a great charcoal - not too dark or too light and goes with everything). I think a red brick foundation with buff mortar is the most classic look you can find - and unlike SpringtimeHomes - I think it is beautiful - much better than ugly brown brick ;). I am a classicist though and Springtime is not - we absolutely do not share the same aesthetic. I would guess with a cape cod you and I have a similar aesthetic . . .

We are about to choose paint for our home, too, and it sounds very much like yours, only two stories. We are thinking a light green with lots of gray in it--Escape Gray by Sherman Williams is our current favorite. We have a charcoal gray roof. I'm also thinking red door, but will choose that once the siding is painted.
