I have D spec 'Windermere' x National White but it's not called 'Trevbor'. Someone must have named it after I got mine. Still waiting for first bloom. Nice flower. -----'species snobs' 'something so small you need glasses to see the flower'---- We get a raffle ticket for each display flower we bring to the meeting. They go into a special can and a seperate drawing takes place before the ordinary people get a crack at the plant table. The other day I filled a plastic carrying tray with a whole bunch of Rain Forest species. Lepanthes, Stelis, Pleuros etc. All in bloom but all had tiny flowers. I even included a magnifying lense. The raffle ticket queen anounced she could not possibly give me a ticket for all these plants as you can't even see the flowers. I had to fight for my rights but did not win in the drawing anyway. Hiya Pug, Thanks so much, it was thoughtful & kind of you to bump this up so Tish & I could read the Stemma article about Ruby Sue & Royal Flush. I can't read pdf files at home either (I don't have current versions of Adobe Acrobat, Tish that mey be your problem as well). But my office computers are current & much more secure than home; was able to read it no problem (& of course, the pix are SUPERB. I even recognize pix of Gabi's H. multiflora, from later in the issue). Fascinating to hear from Herman Engelman's nursery man about their planning to upgrade their mix. I like that they copped to having made up the name "Snow Caps". Wish they'd do the same for "Stripes" which is actually Curtisii. Now, if only there'd been a way to ask why so many of their plants come mis-labeled. Guessing that wouldn't have been too gracious for a visitor to their greenhouse. So these ARE 2 new variants of Lacunosa, like I didn't love it enough already! But the one that really makes my heart flutter is the Lacunosa that has small dents in the leaves, almost like a miniature Krinkle 8. Is this the one they call Lacunosa 'Tove'? I find it from time to time, but don't have any currently. Anyway, thanks again, VERY interesting reading!

drive #1 is 80gb. almost full. drive #2 is 320gb. maybe 50% full. i thought putting in original drive might change system performance. kid said save original drive in case we needed to find old data. has original OS on it since it was the oem drive. mac should boot up ok with it? no reason really to not wipe it. not sure where the os discs are. i think mac's came with install disc in 08?

I recently lost the hard drive on my computer. I had made recovery disks when I first bought the computer and had made backups of all my documents, pictures, music etc. shortly before this happened. If I had had Acronis or some other system that clones the entire drive, I would have had a much easier time. As it was, once I removed the dead drive and installed a new one, I used the recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back to 2002. That meant I had many updates to do over. Fortunately, I had a SP2 disk from MS, so I used that and then over a period of about a week I installed all the more recent updates. Yes, I had to reinstall all my programs, that can't be avoided, but it was not an impossible task. I now have Acronis True Image and have a complete backup on an external hard drive, so if catastrophe strikes again, the job will be much less painful. If Carbonite does include the operating system, your job should not be difficult at all. Get a new hard drive, install it, and go to work. Good luck!
