New Bosch range convection fan not moving?

Hi everyone:

I've had my Bosch range installed for a few weeks now, and so far I love it. The model is the HGS7132U, found at the link below. It is not a dual fuel, but it is supposed to have convection, meaning (I thought) that when convection baking is used, a fan at the back of the oven rotates the air through the oven space.

I used the oven this weekend for cookies, and tried using the convection option. The oven automatically reset to 350 degrees, and the icon came on the panel indicating the convection was working. However, I never heard the fan turn on, and never saw the fan actually move. I waited for about 20 minutes, but nothing happened with the fan.

I got a little anxious that it wasn't going to work, so I wound up just resetting the oven to the normal baking mode. (The cookies were perfect!) I will try again, but I wondered, isn't the fan supposed to move? Can anybody tell me if I just need to wait longer, or if this is a sign something is wrong?

Thanks very much,

Emmie
