Does anyone have opinions on Granite Vanity tops?
Comments (13)Because I'm so cost-conscious, I used the granite left over from my kitchen remodel in all 3 of my bathrooms. And love the granite countertops! Easy to maintain, and they do look so nice. I had a couple of oval cut-outs left (from the bathroom sinks in the countertops), so I found wrought iron legs for them, and I use these as end-tables on the deck in the summer. They're just perfect, as they're resistant to the weather, and they're a nice touch. Told you I'm cost-conscious! :)...See MoreDoes anyone have a laminate vanity top?
Comments (8)I think laminate vanity tops are fine, especially with todays excellent choices. However if you're not that keen on laminate, and granite or solid surface is too expensive because of the non-standard size, then you might consider tiling the vanity top. You could tile with any porcelain or stone tile, including granite. I've seen some great pictures of tiled vanity tops, and I tiled my entire kitchen counter top and backsplash in a really great looking tumbled travertine....See MoreWalker Zanger ceramic tile backsplash? Anyone have one ....
Comments (5)I have Walker Zanger Gramercy Park in Bone China with dark grout. I love them but will tell you that when the arrived the tiles were a little less crackly than the samples from the store (that had been made many years previously). I was disappointed at first but I am real quite happy now. I looked at so many tiles and kept coming back to these....See MoreAnyone like ceramic garden stools? Do u have one?
Comments (33)tuesday_2008......I'm learning a bit here on this post as well. :0) The red stool @ Big Lots is a painted finish on ceramic for $20. For $30 QVC looks to have a quality fired glaze piece that's on sale! I've also noticed ceramic pieces cost the same as porcelain....but the antique drum posted on this thread looks to be porcelain. Porcelain may hold it's value better. I have seen several stools show up at the ARC. Nothing I liked...but I'v also noticed the older stools are NOT a plain solid color. The solid colors or ones that are pierced are the LATEST look....the style changed just a little over time....See Moremahatmacat1
