Lots of things can cause that. The best way to start trouble shooting such an issue is to simply try another browser. If the problem goes away then we know it's a browser problem. Do you have another browser like Firefox or Opera you could try. If the issues occurs across 2 browsers then we would look at modem, router issues. Do you connect to either of those? If you use a router turning the router off for a min or so then turn it on again, try reconnecting to you sites.

Please tell us the operating system you use, Vista, (XP SP3), or Windows 7.

Also tell us how you connect to the Internet, DSL, Dialup, or highspeed cable as in Comcast, Verizon.

Tell us the last time you cleaned out your temporary internet files, cookies. Usually done by running a Cleaner. Ccleaner is one such tool.

Thanks for the reply. I dont have another browser to try but i can install one if i can. Can i have two browsers on the same machine like ie7 and firefox? I also have a wireless router that we had to hard wire to make it work better for my wifes computor. I use XP home SP2 system. i hook up to the internet with DSL i called them already and they said from there side my system was working great. I also clean out my computor once a week so as to keep it running good.

Lets install another browser called Firefox See link. It's ok to have more then 1 and is actually recommend. I use Firefox daily, if I experience an issue like Page cannot be displayed The first thing I do is Open IE and see if that browser will display the web page, if it fails then I have a pretty good Idea the problem is the router or something else. Anytime I suspect a router problem first thing to do is unplug it for a couple mins then plug it back in. It's also true that a simple restart or reboot of the computer can fix many glitches.

Others here are quite knowledgeable about DSL and will respond if you cont. to have issues.

you sure can have more than one browser and it is highly recommended that you have at least 2 on your pc in case IE should fail which it does at times. You can also use both browsers at the same time.

as you do the install for firefox it will ask if you want to import all your settings and bookmarks from IE say yes to all of those and it will set up firefox exactly as you have your IE set up, home page and all. The first time firefox opens it will open to the firefox page to let you know you were successful, after that it will open to your regular home page. You do not have to set it as default you can do that at any time.
There are many great add-ons for firefox too.
