I am also willing to step up and do my part to keep Halloween candy bowls everywhere free of dark chocolate. Sigh. :)

Actually, I DON'T like dark chocolate. I go for Twix bars. My son picks out all the gummy whatever.

I haven't even bought my candy yet. I better get going or there won't be anything left but the reject stuff.

This is a hoot! Yesterday we were at the store for Halloween candy. My husband was horrified at the cost (that's why I never take him there!), then was scandalized that I wouldn't buy an assortment with dark chocolate. The candy isn't for him! He even complained to the check-out lady. Sheesh!

Oh, Beachlily, buy him some candy. Don't you know that men are just big kids with expensive toys?

Very, very expensive .... think Porsche. He doesn't need dk chocolate candy, he raids my dark cholate chips. He doesn't know it--I just buy them for him! Luckily he leaves the 80% cholate bars and chunks alone. Too bitter, I guess.

Linda, you are indeed a selfless person and you've motivated me to remove all the Heath Bars from the Trick or Treat bowl. Those are hard and I wouldn't want any kids to break a tooth or something, and then their parents would have dentist bills and, oh no, that would be no good.

I'd better double check to see if I have anything else that's unsafe...

I don't love dark chocolate, but the Dove dark chocolate promises are pretty darn good... the milk chocolate are out of this world... makes me want to stop off at Walgreens on the way home from work tonight and peruse the candy aisle.

I bought a few bags of candy, but my kids and DH "found" them - guess I'm going to buy more today. Oddly, my 8 yo is the only one that LOVES dark chocolate and ate all of them LOL!

I am starting to worry about peanut allergies. You know, it is so prevalent. I've got loads of peanut free candies just for that reason, but I should remove the separate tray of snickers (full size bars, we don't get many kids), just to be safe.
