I had to format my PC and it's been a long time since I set up this computer. I removed the AOL from add and remove programs, then did a search for AOL items, it found quite a few things. Would it be safe to delete everything on the list that was found. Seems like that is what I did when the PC was new and it is what I do with most things. I have XP.

That's what I did when my computer was new and I was removing all the added bloatware.

Thanks all @Rho Dodendron @chispa @User -- My contractor was insisting we went with Floor & Decor (probably because the materials are easily accessible and in stock, not on backorder) and I did go in to ask for their designer's help, but I do not like the selections they carry, and also prefer supporting prefer supporting small business when my budget allows for it. I've begun looking at some other stores (particularly bedrosians) but unfortunately I have to make a decision very quickly. Thanks for your guidance!

Not enough info to understand what you want. Large format can be many things . The big issue with huge format tile is the tile setter and the sub floor . I use poecealis tile ll the time no patteren but usually 12 x24 to make it simple for install and any decent tile setter can do it.

If you’re aiming for a low curb with a clean, tailored look, many tilers will prefer using a 3x24” bullnose or trim tile for the vertical face of the threshold. However, in some cases, the installer might cut down a 24x24" or 24x48" tile to use as the riser. I’d suggest going ahead and ordering the 3x24” trim tile unless your tile pro specifically says they can and will fabricate a nice edge from your existing tile. Thanks for the link.
Just took a Toshiba Laptop back to factory (out of the box) specs today with the restore cd's.
Removed half of the bloat by hand,, will use decrapifier for the rest.
Cool.

the decrapifier is an excellent tool to use. It really works well.

stargazer just in case you are going to have to add your service packs to your new formatted drive let me warn you of something, If you go back to original xp from the cd you must reboot in between adding each service pack, so for example get service pack 1 then reboot, get service pack 2 then reboot, etc. IF you do not there is a known bug that will cause you to not be able to get any of your windows updates. If you have trouble getting your updates hollar at me there is a work around for this.

thanks all for the information. I know how to remove the stuff I don't want. I have forgotten some things like how to disable a couple of things by the clock, realtek for one. This format was different and had to call HP to see if it should reboot so many times after I put in the supplemental CD. I thought something was wrong, but it was okay and it took care of the problem. I should have call HP first instead of taking it in to a local shop and wasting $70.. My PC was a mess when I brought it home. The guy didn't use the supplemental and it needs that.

Raven, I thought there was a service pack 3, but I didn't see that in the updates. It did offer IE 7 which I did not download. It didn't offer me the Vista upgrade and I thought it would do that.

if you have xp it will not offer you Vista updates.
It may be that the guy installed sp3 on it while he had it.

check on your device manager Start, control panel, system, general tab. it will tell you if you have sp2 or sp3

The guy didn't complete the reformat and he did put the sp3 patch on. I reformatted my PC after I brought it home with the help of HP. I made sure I didn't download that one. I should have called them in the first place, but I didn't know to do that. I thought when the warranty expired they wouldn't help you. I bought a year extended warranty and they said they would fix it even if it had to be sent in at no extra charge. I have a couple of questions, but will start a new thread.
