Another CCleaner setting related question

The first time I ran CCleaner, it change all my folders' viewing from "list" to "icon". Yuck! I don't know where to change it back, so I have been changing the viewing back to "list" in each individual folder. Still, even when I create new folders, the contents is automatically set up for icons. I would sure love to know how to change that "automatic setting" back.

This computer us running WinMe.

I right click on a folder and click on 'explore'. In explorer click on 'view' at the top and you will be able to make your choice.

I wonder why it did that. I've used CC for years on all my computers and it has never changed anything.

Thanx again you been very helpful i def thought of it but also thought an easier solution would occur like maybe using pool water but i am worried about the tree as far as evaporation with the chemical but then again my pool definately doesnt effect the trees in my backyard and lets be real pool chemicals is the.least of our trees worries with pollution and all so i.jus am curious i figured if i can use.pool water it has the.chemicals to stay.clear clean of algae and all that so i was hoping someone.would kno.if thats safe or not if.not.my only.other.option i figure is either.like u said or instead of using the filtered water i use for.my plants i.jus use sink water wich has the.lil bit of chlorine and whatever else in it and dont.keep.it filled.let it evaporate wipe doen and then fill again prolly my best easiest bet unless someone knows if the pool water will be safe for.my tree and thanx again moochinka people.like you remind me why i.joined thos forum in the first.place thanx and if you ever.need some.advice that i.can help.with.or.info please.by all.means hit.me up

Owbist, I have always used it like you do, but all of a sudden it cleans the settings/memory or whatever from MSSE and it says I am not protected. I researched and read that I should uncheck MS Antimalware in windows section of CC which fixed the problem. I was also told if that did not fix it to uncheck the MS Management Console. Later an another upgrade for CC the colors of my visited and unvisited thread were lost. I contacted CCleaner and was told to uncheck everything related to FF. Then this last upgrade the thing I had un checked came in checked again. I knew this time how to fix it. My main reason for starting this thread is because I remember someone saying they used another software to clean with.

I'm going to speak plainly, and I mean no offense. Is he over 18? Shove him out the door and tell him he's on his own. The things you are doing are NOT helping him. You are hurting him because you are enabling him. Before retirement, I worked at a fairly large company. In the rear of my building was the HR department, and one day an older woman came down my hall looking for that office. Trailing behind her was a man of about 30. She told me she was taking her son to the HR office so he could apply for a custodial position we had open. I looked at him incredulously and he smirked at me. They were two of the most pitiful people I have ever seen in my life: Him - because he so obviously was trailing Mama just to appease her, and Her because she was being so foolish. That happened about 10 years ago and I imagine she is still supporting him. WE certainly didn't hire him.

I think I'm going to get the Thuma bed subject to DH approval. I'll get a mattress locally. And lo and behold one of the FBM people finally got back to me. Now if I can get her to reply again so I can go look at the stuff - a couple upholstered chairs that look like they'd work with the wicker furniture. I can bring cushions to see if the colors work together. Also an interesting console table for DH's TV in the upstairs bonus room that he has claimed as his room. I was going to go to Palmetto Furniture tomorrow but now I want to see these FBM items first. If they work out and I get the Thuma bed I can wait to go there until I'm ready to do something about living room furniture which won't be until fall.

Gosh, I am so sorry I haven't gotten back here until now. Thanks for the suggestion, but that is exactly what I have been doing (or clicking "view" after opening the folder). Trouble is, I need to do it individually with every single folder. There must be a setting somewhere that will change all folder views to "list" rather than "icon'.

In Win ME in Windows Explorer in Tools/Folder Options under the 'View' tab is there an 'Apply to all Folders' button like there is in WinXP.
If so, after you set your folder to the view you want click 'Apply to all Folders' and see if that that works.

Absolutely never heard of this concern before.

As a question, did you adjust the Advanced Settings? It is repeatedly recommended here and anywhere else I personally might visit that a user should only use the default settings of CCleaner unless they are well versed in the changes.

Witz resolution should take care of your concern.

Never futsed with any ccleaner settings.

I did find similar in Me to Witz solution. Worked well.
