Restoring the Task Bar

All of a sudden, the task bar has disappeared from this page. How do I restore it? I can't enlarge or shrink the page without it.

First thought would be to move the cursor down to the bottom of the page and see if it transforms into a double-headed arrow. If so, this would indicate the Taskbar is present below the viewing area. After the arrow appears click and drag the Taskbar into position.

You can always maximize and minimize the page using the dash and box/double boxes in the upper right corner next to the X-out.

it helps when we know what windows you are using and what browser.

a couple of things to try, sometimes you can accidently hit the F11 key at the top of your keyboard that can make the page go to full size and may make things disappear hitting F11 again will return it to normal.

you may not have had your taskbar locked down, this is for xp, right click down where the taskbar should be and see if you get a menu. If it got toggled to disappear like DA mentioned once you get it back you want to right click and lock the taskbar in place you can also go into properties and set it not to disappear(auto-hide). And also to check to keep the taskbar on top of other windows.

Put your cursor on an empty spot on the task bar, hold down the left mouse button and drag the bar into place. You may have to experiment a little with where you can click on it to drag it. After you get it in place right click on an empty spot and the task bar and select 'lock the task bar' and it should stay there.

just do the little work around it is super easy just some dragging and dropping involved just right click the taskbar and unlock it before you start, choosing toolbars then NEW toolbar is very simple and then dragging and dropping the new one on to the desktop is just one move. When you right click on that new one on the desktop you will be able to see the address bar option to select. Once you have that then just grab onto that new toolbar and drag it back to the taskbar next to the start button. Thats it now you have your new address bar toolbar on the taskbar. You can leave the other one on your desktop if you want or just delete it or drag it to the recycle bin. But you do want to remember to right click on the taskbar and check to lock it so it all stays in place.

Kudzu and Ravencajun, I just went to the forum to find your reply and answer it, and I don't even see my question let alone anyone's reply. Cannot figure what's going on except NOW I see that the replies on the forum are dated October 15th which was 2 days ago, just like my clock which is 2 hours ago. I opened the time adjust and DID see it was set in the wrong time zone, but when I set it for Pacific it said the time was now 10:10. I now see something else on that same adjustment site that may be wrong, but since I have no idea what it means, I'm afraid to change it. It has to do with Internet time. It's set for Time-n.w.-nist.gov. This seems to be getting very complicated. Update, now I see the current forum posts/replies so maybe things are correcting themselves??? Thanks, BarbB
