Comments (10)I'm sure you've considered this but just have to ask... have you discussed this problem with your selling dealer? If the selling dealer is no help then I'd contact CC corporate directly. If CC corporate is no help then contact Kohler Small Engine directly at 800.544.2444 ask for tech support They stand behind their products and have gone beyond the call a couple times for me on small stuff. As canguy said, there is evidence of overheating and dropping a valve seat can be the result but if the overheating produce no discernible symptoms then there's no way you'd know anything was wrong until... but you may have comprised your position by disassembling the engine yourself. Please keep us informed and good luck....See MoreIs there a rainshower head out there for me?
Comments (10)I don't have one yet (just shopping for ours now), so I'll just share what I've found so far, and I'm sure others will jump in with specific models they're happy with. The government restricts how much water can pass through a shower head, so the wider the rain head and the more nozzles, the less water any showerhead can put through each nozzle. But some of the rain shower heads mix air with the water, which creates the feeling of a stronger spray. Hansgrohe is one of the manufacturers which does this in their Raindance Air lines of showerheads. I think they were the first, but some other manufacturers now use the same technique. But ultimately, the really big rainshower heads are designed to provide a rain-like, more gentle spray than other shower heads which offer adjustable spray types. If your main considerations are a strong spray and a wide spray, it may be that a non-rainshower adjustable head will be more suited to your desires. (A very compact showerhead can produce a very wide spray; it just depends on the way the nozzles are designed.) You might want to look at some hybrid-like models which have a small (6" wide) rainshower-like head but with multiple, adjustable sprays to cater to multiple desires. Here's a link below to one such model. -- Eric Here is a link that might be useful: Hansgrohe Raindance Air Jet adjustable showerhead...See MoreKohler Water Tiles
Comments (1)Hi, I asked about this a bit back, didn't get much response. I don't think these are terribly popular? We did go find a store that had a couple installed, and it did not seem like it would work for what we wanted, which was to use it like a rainshower head in a ceiling mount. We looked at a single 54 spray tile, and it definitely would be in the "invigorating" catagory rather than relaxing. We didn't see the 22 spray one in action, but they appear to be manufactured the same so I think its just less of the same kind of spray. We didn't try out the rotation, but it does look like it swivels quite a bit. We've seen a number of Grohe and Hansgrohe shower heads which are handheld and offer both invigorating and rainshower gentle sprays, you might consider something like that on a hook or a slide bar. But it doesn't have that smooth installation, which I loved also. Hope this helped a little....See MoreThis Kohler shower head? Anyone have one?
Comments (8)The op just has a shower head version and it can easily be waterproofed. The body sprays can be waterproofed by carefully cutting the sheet membrane waterproofing to the plaster guards and then sealing the joint with the membrane's sealant like KerdiFix, or NobelSealant. Not DIY easy, but plenty doable for a pro or seasoned remodeler. You could also use HydroBan liquid waterproofing membrane to do both jobs, and that is just painted on with a brush or roller. It will stick to cement board, pipes, and plaster guards and make the assemble waterproofed....See MoreLinda Ross
