you might try firefox safe mode and see if it works that way if so it is one of your add ons causing the problem, not saying that is for sure but it is one thing I would try so you can start to rule things out. Go to Start> all programs> mozilla firefox> firefox safe mode

Just a question before you reset... Prompted by this thread: http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/load/comphelp/msg1217510723913.html Did you happen to do the "image block" mentioned by Zep516 in this post? If so, you'll have to undo that because the new "Preview" button used for replying is no longer an "HTML button", but an image. So if you're blocking images from "graphics.gardenweb.com", you won't see the new yellow/gold "Preview" button. If that doesn't apply to you, the reset function is found under "Help>Troubleshooting Infomation". Stop!!! Careful of that one. I used it fine before but it just got rid of a lot of things. Trying to stop you making a mistake. It has a warning box to let you know you're doing something that cannot be undone. Some things are gone and need to be put back in, some not. DK

Solved. I essentially restarted the comp. I had restarted the Xserver several times but since I am working off a live CD that isn't the same as rebooting the whole thing. Well now I know. My memory was about right. In Preferences the colors can be changed for links etc and I thot that was where the problem was. Well if a restart fixt it no telling what caused it.
