deleting items in memory

when i do a google search (or am sending an email), when i type in the first couple of letters, a drop down box appears with previouly used search terms (or email addresses). how do i delete any of these that are unwanted?

Just right click on the unwanted entry and select Delete.

Try a full scan next time you did a quick scan: Here are the instructions so everything is in one place. Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop. Click here Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application. Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish. If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version. Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Full Scan", then click Scan. The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient. When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results. Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note) The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM. Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply. Extra Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove,you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts,click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer,please do so immediately.

Can't delete item in printing queue

Thanks for your help but after 24 hours it hadn't deleted. What I did was unistall the printer and installed it again. That was successful !! Holly

Across the top where it says File Edit etc, click on "Edit" and then click on "select all" then delete, OR click on "Empty 'deleted items' Folder'. Or click on the first folder you want to delete, then click on the last folder you want to delete while holding down the Shift key, then delete. This way should select all the files between the first and second click. That should do it.

Here's an update on my problem - which is now half solved:) My ISP tech entered a command yesterday to save all mail to computer/machine only and that has resolved the sent mail issue. Emails are appearing as they should in the Sent file. Similar attempts did not correct the issue of deleted emails not showing in the delete/trash file. This morning I looked into Windows files and folders troubleshooter and installed a little program called FixIt - I have no idea how well this really works. FixIt reported a corrupt Delete file and a View setting that was 'lost or incorrect', asked if it could repair, I said Yes, and it prompted successfully accomplished. But nothing changed. Currently Sent folder is normal - and that's huge. As for Deleting items, if I click the X, the email leaves In or Sent boxes. It does not show up in Deleted items. If I use the Outlook search function to look for it, I can find it. If I click on Empty Deleted Item Folder and search again, its gone. I can drag mail from In and Sent boxes into the Deleted items at left and they do stay there then, and the number count increases appropriately with each dragged email.

Might Install CCleaner .. it will do that.

Check under "tools" delete browsing history..put a check beside the box "form data"

Microsoft Internet Explorer users

To clear the AutoComplete Settings, follow the below steps.

1.Open Internet Explorer

2.Click the Tools menu and then Internet Options.

3.Within the Internet Options window, click the content tab.

4.Click the Autocomplete button.

5.Within this window you can click Clear forms to clear all form data except for passwords and/or click Clear Passwords to clear the passwords.

In addition to clearing these fields, if you do not want Internet Explorer to save this data in the future, you may uncheck any of the available boxes in this window.
Mozilla Firefox users

To clear the Mozilla Firefox Saved Form Information follow the below steps.

1.Open Firefox

2.Click Tools and then Options

3.Within the Options window click the Privacy button and click the Clear button on the Saved Form Information.

Google you use then its click on search settings top right and the scroll down to >> Do not provide query suggestions in search box .. Tick that then save settings ..
