I bottom water my tomato plants. I put one seed in each 16 oz. styrofome cups with holes in the bottom. I set them in the bottom of milk jugs that I cut the top off. I keep two cups in each with about one inch of water in them all the time. As for soil. I plant them in nothing but composted oak leaves. The leaves do stay a little yellow, but when they are planted in the ground they quickly green up. Click the link. Here is a photo of my tomatos ready to be planted in the ground. I planted them in bigger pots. Now I use smaller pots. Bigger pots are harder to plant out. I started these earlier. I grow my seedlings on the porch with a window to the south. Still having trouble with links on websites not working. When clicked a link will not transfer but it puts a colored blank with an x in it which will not refresh or do anything. When the x is clicked it takes you back to the original website. This happens in most websites that have reference links to use. It does not happen with links in posts on this website. Using IE 9 and Win7 Home Premium. All updates are installed. John W.

Update: 1. Original router Dl-524 on XP was dying, then died. 2. XP machine now functioning as wireless with new router (D-Link WBR-2310 -- it was cheap because store running a special!). Set it up during 2-hour phone call to ISP (Verizon) and done manually -- he wanted to bypass the CD w/router even though the package said "use CD first." 3. Used Recovery Partition pre-installed on Vista machine. But when restart, still same 3 messages as before: a. apsInitialize b. apsGetInterfaceCount c. WLAN Monitor stopped 4. Google searches with the above (a, b, & c) gathered pages and pages of hits, some helpful some not. Many lead to dead-end in forums closed to outsiders -- a subscribe-here type. But all summaries were related to errors appearing after person installed, or attempted to install, a D-Link router Bottom line: Because using the Recovery Partition didn't get rid of the error messages, I wonder if I need to swap existing Vista for different Vista (but same model). I'm going to stop by store on way home from office to ask them. I hope original salesman is there as he is knowledgeable, the store guru, and has helped me before. Any thoughts?

Today GW has been slow to load. In fact one thread never did load so had to go back to the list of threads and try a different thread altogether. So far today, the ad has not gone crazy covering the words. Hopefully the powers that be have mastered this problem. Like so many of you, I sense a shift in the people who post here and the GW atmosphere. I've only been around for 1 and 1/2 years, but I agree with Breezy that it seems that many of the long time members who posted a lot when I first found GW are not frequenting the site. This makes me sad. It is selfish on my part, but I had hoped that they would be around to help with my kitchen layout for our reno. They really give valuable insight! I have marveled at their skill and also their generosity of time spent helping others. So Breezy, Rhome, Marcolo, and so many more of you talented people please don't leave GW. Persons like me really need and appreciate your advice. You are Godsends to those of us who are floundering in this remodel maze!
