Well here is the picture of the cook top that is Architect series. I think the burners are randomly placed and I will have issues cooking on 2 adjacent burners using even medium size cook pots?

I had Kitchen Aid Architect series appliances in my previous home (4 years old at this point) and am planning to get the same appliances in my new house as well since I liked the way they looked and worked (with the exception of a double wide fridge/freezer in my new house since I never seemed to have enough freezer space in my french door fridge/freezer).

I am actually getting a different model cooktop than what you have listed: Kitchen Aid Architect II 36â 5 burner cooktop (Model KFGS366VSS).

This was very functional for me. The center burner had 2 different settings and could boil water so quickly in this model. I could fit pots/pans on each of the burners at the same time. Although, it would generally be a small saucepan on the left rear and larger frying pan on the left front, as 2 large frying pants wouldn't comfortably fit on the same side, for example. I could fit medium pots on the same side no problem, though. Hope this helps!

I will also visit a local appliance store and check it out myself. At this point I want to stick to Architect series --that is being offered as standard.
BTW ours is a little contemporary/modern looking kitchen do you think these Architect series appliances look like that?

I'm sure you can just google for general prices. I have the older model for your oven and see yours is $3.6K to 3.7. We also have the more rectangular grate model of cooktop. Our ovens work well. The main oven cleans very easily. It was made during the period when some models (probably not ours) had self-clean expensive fuse blow/total shutdown issues. I only used self-clean when it was under warranty without issues. Many people believe self-clean is unwise for any electronic controlled oven. I just noted that several reviewers of the new ovens didn't like the loud fan. I imagine the fan was increased to alleviate self-clean failures.

I assume that you realize that the microwave/convection section opening is much smaller than the door. I really like the microwave section because it is small and heats quickly. However, because it does true oven duty, it is lined with stainless steel and it is hard to clean (and no self clean for it).

If you have natural gas, I would expect the cooktop to be fine. If you use propane, I would suggest you look for an open burner style cooktop or a unit specifically built for propane.
