Try aquabid.com there are many people there that ship nice angels and discus as well as many other types of fish. I have fish that were bought from there that cost from five dollars to over two hundred dollars and most have come in great shape. The main trick of buying fish from a mailorder shop or online auction site like aquabid is to avoid fish that can be bought locally because the shipping freight will result in fish that can be very expensive. You do not seem to have that problem because of a lack of stores to buy from. Several of the sellers at aquabid are actually based in Hawaii so you will be buying local fish or at least fish that only have to endure a short trip in shipping.

Here on the east coast there is one nursery that I would recommend visiting, Sylvan's Nursery in Westport, MA. They have hundreds of conifers and specialize in "landscape size" trees and shrubs although they have huge supplies of small affordable plants. They have several "farms" and cover a total of 350 acres or so. They are mostly wholesale but if you sign in and sign out (I guess in case you get lost) they let you roam around the greenhouses and grounds; they'll even drive you in a golf cart. I don't know why they even let me in there as I have seen professionals buying tens of thousands of dollars worth of premium stock. They do, and they are always very friendly and treat me just as well with my $60 purchase as the guy next to me shelling out thousands; of course the mark-up is higher with me (5% discount for cash though). Prices for the premium stuff is premium and the smaller stuff is higher than the box stores, but they no doubt probably have what you want, when you want it and the size you want at a fair price. Anyway, it is worth the trip (probably not from Oregon) as they are located along the Westport River and Buzzard's Bay and it is God's country. Don't go at 3 PM as the irrigation goes off (strange, they always say to water in the early AM) no matter what and you will get soaked. Not bad if its hot. I'm jealous of all the great places and choices you have in the Northwest, but thought I would give a plug for some decent people here. Here is a link that might be useful: Sylvan's nursery

We were happy with oracle tile and stone - they have an amazon.com storefront. I would caution people NOT to order from backsplashtogo.com We found a tile there that we considered using for our fireplace surround. I ordered a single sheet to see if we would like it before placing the full order. They have three ordering options sample, single sheet and box. Our order arrived and one of the 2x4 tiles was broken. About a third of it was missing - nowhere to be found in the box. They had obviously shipped it that way - it wasn't damaged in shipment. We decided that we didn't want to do business with them. I contacted them and said that I wanted to return it for a refund, but that I wouldn't pay for shipping as I didn't order a damaged tile. They requested a photograph which I emailed to them. Then they said that single sheets were considered samples and were not returnable. It was in fact a sample, but I didn't want to return it because I didn't like it, we just felt that they anyone who would ship an obviously damaged product couldn't be trusted with our full order. After some back and forth they offered to replace the damaged tile but would not refund our purchase. The emails were sarcastic and full of annoying ALL CAPS phrases. The replacement came yesterday and it was a single 2x4 tile, not the whole sheet. There's no way I would order from these people and wanted to warn the garden web community about them.
