Savevid is back with it's old format so I am all set on at least the normal or usual type videos. I also installed the firefox add on. It seems to work ok. However, I still have two problems. One website, even though I am a paying subscriber, does not allow you to download the videos. I guess they want to restrict you to just having your eyeballs glued to the computer screen instead of a comfortable tv screen in the living room. I am not sure but I think they are not providing a download link. I assume there is a way to get around this but if not then I am going to cancel my subscription and save the money. Also I am adding images to the usb port device to display on the roku. Some of the images. particularly map images. are simply too small to read them on the tv screen. I guess I don't have any software on my system to enlarge then save the enlarged image. Any simple free software out there to do just this one task. Thanks

Just curious does the hotel tell you that when you check in? We mostly stay at red roof a lot and I watch Netflix on my tablet or laptop all the time at their hotel with wifi and other hotels and never ran across that situation. Netflix is streaming only so you can't download from them to watch off line. Someone else will help you with downloading as I stream all my movies while traveling and staying in hotels. Mary

If this has just started and on 2 computers it is unlikely to be any error with your computers. Have you checked the file where the downloads get stored to see if they are coming in but the small box notifying you fails to appear? Assuming your downloaded files are in the Documents/Download file.... Right click Start, click Explore in the pop up Click the small plus sign beside Documents (My Documents?) on the left side Now look underneath Documents for Downloads Click on this to highlight and look on the right side to see if the latest downloads are listed.

At one point, someone posted a BLOG that had links to Downton Abbey and Call the Midwife that could be streamed even when they were not on the PBS site. I thought I had it book marked, but I cannot find it now :( They had episodes, I think, even that had not aired in the US yet. Does anyone remember what that was? It was a not a blog you would have thought would have had the streaming video links (i.e. it wasn't like a TV Blog).
