need real player video download help

I have been using Real Player to down load videos. As soon as the video starts at the top right hand corner of the screen the words come up to download video now. These are short crafting videos that I download.

As of today this option no longer comes up on the screen and the same has occurred with my windows vista on my laptop which I also use firefox.

I can't download videos with my dial up so much download them in town on my lap top then watch them at home.

I have Windows XP and the free version of realplayer 15.0.3.37

I use firefox for my browser.

My friend uses AOL and has never been able to get this feature to work for her.

Can't recommend any in particular, but have a look at this page...many from official Real Player site.

Thanks for the link to other downloaders. I will check into something else if I can't get this one to work.

I guess I did not make my posting very clear.

I am asking if anyone has any suggestions as to what I might check on my computer to see if perhaps a box in the tools or someplace else has been changed.

I really liked using the Real player as I only had to click on the icon and the video was downloaded it was very simple to use.

I think I have figured it out today. When I want to listen to that radio station, I have to manually open Real Player. Thanks for trying to help Bob.

What a coincidence! I tried to post a message a few minutes ago and got a message about cookies. I took a break, went to KT, posted with no problem, and came back here to try again. I found that I no longer have Flash Player. Somewhere in all the troubles I had recently it must have been deleted. I have tried to get it by clicking on a video that has a small box that says click here to download Flash Player. I download it but then I get a red box that tells me to read the agreement, which I've not found. I did get a list of Flash programs and I clicked on the version 10. It just sits there downloading endlessly. I went to FF addons and found this. Download YouTube Videos + Flash Video Downloader / Download-Helper 3.3.1 So, that is what I need? In Control Panel I have Adobe Reader 9.3.4. which is used for my church newsletter. Will I lose that if I get Flash Player? Firefox default browser. HP Media Center XP SP3 TIA Sue

bp, thank you so much for your offer to help. You are not going to believe this but I got it to work. I just kept working at it, clicking here and clicking there until it worked. This may not be an accomplishment to those of the computer generation but I'm of the older age group (TV didn't even come along until I was about 9ys old) so this has been an experience for me. Just in case you want to know (although this may not have been the way to go about it) I opened my 'Sermon' file on the desk top and right clicked on the last one I'd downloaded, I went down to 'Properties', clicked and then clicked on the second tab, 'Summary' and renamed it in the top line, clicked ÂapplyÂ. Then tested it, by moving it to the MP-3 screen and from there to the player............. Does that make any sense to you, or did I go about it the long way? My player is a Samsung 2GB YP-U3. I don't know what software we have, I'd just click on the 'download' button on the site my church has posted. If this has just started and on 2 computers it is unlikely to be any error with your computers.

Have you checked the file where the downloads get stored to see if they are coming in but the small box notifying you fails to appear?

Assuming your downloaded files are in the Documents/Download file....
Right click Start, click Explore in the pop up
Click the small plus sign beside Documents (My Documents?) on the left side
Now look underneath Documents for Downloads
Click on this to highlight and look on the right side to see if the latest downloads are listed.

These videos from You tube or anyplace else as far as I know do not download automatically. Only if you click on something do they down load. There for since there is nothing for me to click on to download it does not download.

I tried to call support but since it is a free software they could not help me.
