do you mean a regular digital camera that uses a memory card to hold the pics and videos? If so then you can simply remove the memory card from camera and insert it into a memory card reader which you plug into your usb port, if there is not one built into your pc already, then simply choose to copy it to the pc from the card, you don't have to have a program to move pics or vids from the memory card to the pc. Most newer computers have a built in memory card reader, if yours does not you can get one for just a few dollars, I have bought them at big lots for $6 but any store with an electronics dept will have them. That is the easiest way to do it and you don't have to add any extra programs to your pc.

It is not clear what you are asking, because first you have to get your photos, from your camera to your PC, you can do this in two ways, one is if a cable came with your cam. where you plug one end into cam, the other into usb port, or 2. you remove SD card and insert into pc, then you download to your pc. The programs you mention are photo editing software, where you can fix your photo's or resize to your liking..which is it you are looking for?

Thank you both, Ravencajun and Susie07. Yes, I meant a digital camera. I have a built in memory card reader on the computer...don't know why I didn't think to do this, lol. Not very computer savy. I always just used Picasa for all photos and videos.

I will now try using the memory card to download the video.

Have you checked the camera s manufacturer's website for available applications? Historically a camera comes with a CD containing drivers and usage applications or the camera instructions refer the owner to its website.

I got the videos downloaded from my digital camera using the memory card. Now I can hear the sound but can't see the videos. Again, I apoligize for being so computer challenged. I have Dell laptop windows 7. It says something about downloading real player updates and something is stopping it for doing this. I can see other videos that came with the computer(samples)so I know it is able to show videos. Can someone tell me a basic way to play my videos?
