Picassa (and other photo editors) allow you to rearrange pictures within the application. When you move those pictures outside of Picassa, they are arranged by tradition standards like file name, date, etc. The only real option you have would be to export the files from Picassa creating a new, sequential file name for each.

That being the case, your images are around six time too large. I'm betting that if, as suggested by DA, you use Irfanview to downsize them first, they'll upload fine. BTW, the uploader that's available here in these forums(not the gallery) allows a full "5000 k". It resizes the images to make them more bandwidth friendly. Although it's been a very long time since I've been on dial-up, I remember it being excruciatingly slow. Loading a page containing even a single 3 MiB image would have probably given me time to go brew a pot of coffee, come back and drink a cup. Am I remembering it being worse than it really was? At about 3 KiB/s download speed(I lived way out in the sticks) it would have taken how long? Maybe 1024 secs? 17 minutes? Maybe my math is not precise but the point is that although 3 MiB is small for those with high-speed Internet, for those on dial-up it's really huge.

Will try to help you the way I do it. Go into Picasa and at the top left, there is a button that says export. This will give you a drop down box and select "folder" there. I then go into documents as that is where "My Pictures" are located. Click on the ones you want to transport to Picasa and you will see them show in the little box below. Hit the button that say Import and they will go go Picasa. There may be a much easier way(probably is), but find I can go it this way. Good Luck!

Yes but then the pictures are fuzzy. With all other pictures you can crop before exporting. You crop and the photo will remain almost the same size and fill up the picasa screen. When I crop one taken in sports mode it imediately goes to a real small picture.
