Can't paste text into a Yahoo email

I have a Yahoo email address here at GW. If I write a letter in Corel Word, then copy and try to paste it into the email, it won't paste. Why?

Try to paste using Ctrl + V

Randy,
That worked!. I've never used anything other than the mouse to copy and paste. Even forgot about the Ctrl options. Why though does it not work from the mouse?

I have always had problems with Freecycle, I suspect the problem is actually with the Freecycle you are trying to sign up with. I suggest you try another Freecycle or two to see if you can get signed up OK. Besides the one 'local' one, I signed up with 3 or 4 others that are in the area (small towns) about 30-60 minutes away. Once you get signed up, you can get 'every' post emailed to you, or a daily digest of posts, or nothing at all. I just set my local one to send me a daily digest of the posts and opted to get nothing via email from the others. Sue

I've looked and looked and looked for a place to set it to "remember me", but I just cannot find it and I am usually good at this sort of thing. It is seriously so annoying that I may go to the trouble of switching to Gmail. I even tried searching the Yahoo Community for help, but could not come up with anything. Why don't these companies leave well enough alone? Glad to hear I am not the only one in this boat.

I think there was another option to pick besides the attach one, if you are talking about the one that put the picture itself in the body of the letter. When they changed the format or upgraded yahoo quite some time ago that seemed to have disappeared. I haven't sent pictures through yahoo for some time but remember using it too, because you didn't have to worry if the person receiving the email would be able to open an attatchment.

My yahoo email hasnt worked in almost 2 weeks. I log in, and it has to verify who I am, and then tells me, I need a new password, but, it wont accept any password I have tried. It says they are too weak. Well, believe me, I have tried passwords, that if I hadnt written them down first, I would never have remembered them long enough to type them, and they will accept nothing. I give them one more week, until after the Christmas Holidays, and I am going to go find another throw away email account.

I wish I knew the answer to Why?
I've never been able to copy and paste into Yahoo email with the mouse, always had to use ctrl + v
It must be a Yahoo thing.

I can't paste using the mouse in my MS Streets and Trips software...only Ctrl+V works....can't paste in Yahoo with my mouse either.

....can't paste in Yahoo with my mouse either. Same with gmail. I use the edit (up in the upper left). The drop-down paste then works for me.

I just noticed the edit, drop-down paste is labeled control-V. duh.

I can't copy an email from the Windows Mail into Hotmail using the CTRL-V but can using the Edit and paste.
