Leave what little is left behind Not trying to start a huge argument, but just to play devils advocate. there is one reason...and thats people want the wood for consumer purposes. You and I probably agree that's not a great reason to kill a 1000 year old tree, but nonetheless thats why they do it, people buy it. Like I said I could tolerate some cutting of large trees as long as others were protected. That seems like the best of both worlds for habitat quality. Keep some old growth to support species that depend on it, but keep forests dynamic so that you can have more diversity. The problem is that there just arent enough lands set aside for natural areas becuase there are so many people who need houses to live in and shopping malls to buy junk at. At the end of the day we need more forests (of whatever age) and less sprawling subdivions of ugly homogeneous boxes. trees can and will in time adapt to climatic change, logging, whatever. We just need to give them a fighting chancve by not crowding them out of existence.....will get off of my soapbox now.

the kick youtube one seems to work I just tried it. Instead of putting abc you put kick in the url right before youtube. Then when it opens at the kick page at the bottom of the video you click on Kick, it then has a bar at the top with the various types of download file options choose the one you want like mp4 then on the right click on the green go, then right click on the download button and choose save link as. If for some reason you are only getting the embed link then on the youtube site at the top left corner of your video where you see the name of the video poster click that and go to their page and click on share and it will give you a url you can use. You should also be able to get a good clean url if you click on the share button directly below the video itself on the regular youtube page.

You asked "are you sure you installed the firefox version and not the IE version?" I thought so. When I just now returned to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/, it says "You have version 10,0,22,87 installed" The red/white banner at the top of the page is very busy flashing the message "Adobe Flash Player successfully installed." (And yes, I'm now using Firefox.) When I installed it, I chose this --- Adobe Flash Player version 10.0.22.87 Windows : 1.8MB Different operating system or browser? [a clickable line] Browser: Firefox, Safari, Opera Download time estimate: 2 minutes @ 56K modem --- Was I supposed to select "different operating system?" In other words, "Windows Vista/XP/2003/2002/2000."
