I'm confused about mirror and wall tile...

I've finally decided that one bath needs a frameless wall mirror, permanently affixed above the sink/countertop starting where the backsplash ends. I think it should go all the way to the wall corner (wing wall there, which will be tiled). I don't want a messy transition or nasty strip of sheetrock there.

How does the wall tile meet that mirror in the corner? Does it lap over it by the thickness of the tile? Or should I narrow the mirror and turn the corner with tile, then start the mirror?

I don't see the point in tiling behind a 30" x 36" permanent mirror, but I see a potentially awkward join in that corner.
