Misty Carrera Ceasarstone with real white Carrera floors?

I am struggling over which countertop to use in my master bathroom. I am using 12x12 white carrera marble on the floors (honed) and the shower walls (polished). The vanity will be walnut. The backsplash is a stormy grey reflective glass tile. I'm afraid to do a white carrera countertop because of all the possible etching. I am wondering how a Misty Carrera Caesarstone countertop might look with these other materials. The Misty Carrera is definitely more grey than my marble which has more of a white background. Do you think it will make the marble look dingy or vice versa? What would you choose as a countertop color/material?

Personally, I don't think I'd like this at all. The misty carrera to me isn't much like real carrera at all (although it's a nice pattern), and having the genuine article right there for comparison is going to make this even more obvious. I'd prefer a plain white or even blizzard, myself.

TOTALLY agree with writersblock, having seen both products.

The Misty Carrera is a pretty product -- but IMO, it doesn't look at all natural...

Do you happen to know what etched the sample? I ask because I have been living with my carrera marble countertop in my bathroom with Daltile Navelli Carrera Star tile and I have not yet seen any etching. However, I am concerned about it and would like to try to prevent it from happening in the future. I did go out of my way to put in a pH neutral hand soap and have not yet washed the countertop with anything but water. If you're looking for white, have you looked into some of the white granites and quartzites (white princess, luce di luna, white fantasy, to name a few)? They are very popular in the kitchens forum and the pictures look lovely.

We used used Carrera Marble Chair rail pieces for the trim with the A/O Colisuem White tile. The combo turned out great, the Carrera Marble is a bit darker in color but it added some contrast. We ended up using CaeserStone for our countertops. I would suggest bringing some sample A/O tiles and hand select a slab of Carrera Marble as the marble can vary quite a bit in color.

I've considered the same combination; they really work well together. You might also try out a higher contrast combination, like Cambria Fieldstone or Greystone or Eurostone Kwork. . The new colors are called Frosty Carrina and London Grey. The FC is a bit more white and the LG has a touch of cream. I would not blend them with real Carrara, after seeing the samples this weekend. The Creamy Marfil is perhaps the most realistic. The Piatra Grey is a nice mid tone gray and blends with real Carrara quite well. Thanks alku05! I also design professionally and sometimes also obsess about choices I make for my clients. All my postings aren't for me alone, but it HAS taken me a long time to really decide what I want. It's much easier to design for other people, but a designer has so many choices and if their design likes span many styles it's often hard to make up ones mind ;-). Would be a lot easier if I only liked one style, but I think I have it all in place now finally. Was going to do a black counter until I saw this Bianco River. The other problem is I'm trying to use one slab for both the kitchen and bath counters.

I think you are both right that mixing the misty carrera and the real carrera is not the best idea.

I am considering pure white and also blizzard - wondering if blizzard is a touch too much on the warm side.

Do you think the ceasarstone color Organic White would look good?

There is a thread on kitchens and, I think, another one here about which Caesarstone to mix with real cararra. Carrara is definitely cool-toned, so you don't want a warm-white caesarstone.

I think that matters more with the backsplash, which is in direct contact with the kitchen counter, than it does for something like a vanity top, but I'd definitely get samples and see which you like better.
