Gaggenau makes really beautiful ovens. I prefer the older style with the vertical knobs than the round knobs. Bluestar also makes a 24"gas oven too. I would do one of each. Maybe the Bluestar in a nice color to complement the LaCanche!

If you want capacity and performance it would be Kitchen aid. If you want style, Meile, Gaggenau, Fagor, Smeg and Fulgor.

I just bought the GE Monogram convection oven with electronic controls. I liked the pro style knobs but only the electronic version had the dehydrate option and other timing features I know I'll use. It's paired with the new 220v Advantium speedcook oven. Can't speak to anything but the specs because they're still in the box in my garage until we get the remodel underway. They're worth taking a look at on the GE Monogram site. I was thrilled with the convection, roller sheves, controls, probe, etc.

Just for the record, I misread the dimensions of the IKEA cabinet. The cabinet is 30" wide.

If you can have a 30" and your DH loves to bake then there is nothing better than the Miele. I have used mine for 2 yrs. They are easy to use, perfect technology and do what they are supposed to do. We are bread bakers x 30 yrs and have high expectations. You won't be disappointed. c

Meile MasterChef double ovens with rotisseries. Looks great, bells and whistles, much more efficient and accurate than average plus rotisseries for outstanding chicken! The only other oven I'd consider is Gaggenau for the side opening doors plus rotisserie. Can you tell I like to prepare organic birds for health and flavor control? :-)

Meile is great for baking, broiling, etc and has true convection. Love it!

Miele and Gagg are stellar perormers and both have convections and rotisseries. If price is no bar, I'd get the Gaggs - there doesn't seem to be a better oven. And I think it has a better interface than does the Miele Masterchef.

I agree: we have a Gagg convection oven paired with a Gagg combi-steam oven. Both come up to temperature quickly & hold it rock solid. Many great features. We would definitely choose Gaggenau again.

I bought Gaggenau 27" wall ovens off ebay but they don't fit in the space I had planned and I'm looking to sell. I got them for half price because they are discontinued and would be happy to sell them at a substantial discount. I live near Philadelphia. DW used to be an attorney at perhaps the nation's most high power corporate law firm. No one there has any time to socialize, but we did go to a dinner once that included one of the very rare female partners . She was super cool and had many interest in common with us, including, for example, a youthful interest in the trial and execution of king Charles I of England, Saint and Martyr (long story).

But what most impressed me is that she actually bought the Dornbracht RainSky showerhead. I had been in love with that showerhead and designed my spa bath around it. --I later wound up not buying it because the American version is crippled and improvised something else (which I must post on the Bathroom forum gallery, and will, soon). But she had actually bought and installed the Dornbracht Rainsky. She's not only the only person I know who has done that, but she's the only person not in the trade I've ever met who even knows it exists.
