Buying fish on the internet is best used for fish that cannot be purchased locally. Aquabid has some great deals but it helps to know how much a fish is worth because it is really easy to spend too much after paying shipping. They have many fish that are seen in books only and most of the cichlids they have can be bought in pairs. If you live near a major airport they can send your fish via the airlines and then you pick them up from the cargo area. I have had fish shipped several times and it runs to $34.00 a box which works out to only three dollars a fish if you buy eight fish or more. They have many polypterus also which after airfreight will still be less than the local fish store. I had good luck with rmsaquaculture also but they would be best for getting fish that are not seen in your local store as their shipping will not work well with common fish because of the cost factor. I just saw a job online for a job in southern CA but I would have to figure out how much I would have to make to afford to even live in CA. I like AZ but the job market especially in the design field is really rough right now. That is probably the case everywhere. You all take care. I should have better news in a few days. I had my blood tests and CT scan this past Friday which I expect to be fine as they were 3 months ago. If they are good, my chemo doctor says I can have my port surgically removed. I find a lot of these companies have terrible customer service. Two previous telephone suppliers I have used must have been the worst ever. First one I had to complain to the telecoms regulator before they fixed the problem with my line, the second I was cut off by mistake but carried on being billed. I could never get speaking to anyone in customer service, just permanently in a queue no matter what time I called. This time it took the telecoms regulator and my solicitor to get it sorted. There a more suppliers than you can shake a stick at that will charge more or less the same for a like for like service. Before choosing one, call their technical support / customer service line. If you don't get speaking to a human within three minutes forget them and move on to the next one on the list. Saving a few coppers each month is no good if you can't get hold of anyone when there is a problem. So if you get good service from your current supplier(s), I'm not saying don't switch, but think long and hard about switching. If someone else is offering the same for considerably less, remember that they must be cutting costs somewhere.

I was in a bad financial situation several years back and cable TV became a definite unaffordable. I tried to ween off from it by going from the $45/mo "basic" to the $15/mo very basic that, as I recall had Food channel, WGN and maybe TBS or something like that. After about a month or two I figured out it wasn't worth $5/mo per channel so I dropped it. I've debated about getting Dish, but I am happy with simply broadcast. I enjoy the morning news. I enjoy the reruns. There's a few broadcast shows I really enjoy and the PBS stations here are very good. They have a wide variety and are very progressive and I watch them a lot. They give me a better weather channel than cable. And I have a lot of tapes of movies and shows that I enjoy so I can have something to watch if I really want to. When I'm out of town and staying in a motel, I used to look forward to having cable again. I don't find much on there I really like that well! Now there is one thing though, the high speed internet. That has me thinking, but around here it would be about $35/mo for the cheapest broadband by the time you get all the taxes and fees on it, so I'll stay with my $5/mo dialup. I do like the internet. I like to learn things. I like to share things. I like to keep up on the weather and stuff. So the internet is important to me, and it also is so much entertainment that I can turn off the TV much more easily. A year and a half ago the power went out for a week. If I had broadband I'd probably be without internet. I have dialup and a laptop and I had internet for entertainment, news, weather and communication. I charged the laptop in my van and it was great. Also have a battery TV so I could watch the local news and a tv show or two that I enjoyed. Health keeps me indoors more and more and unable to do the physical activities I used to enjoy. So I'm probably more dependant upon the tv/internet/computer than many. But I know many who are far worse!
