Comments (8)Bathtub/shower combination with the shower on a handheld unit with a slide bar. The handheld unit is great for washing little ones in the tub and as they get older they can begin to shower with the head lower on the bar. Shower/tub and lavatory faucets are easier to operate with lever handles than knobs for young hands (and older ones, too!) I liked having the shower doors with DS - once in a while we would just close the doors and let him splash to his heart's content with no worries about water on the floor! Extra floor space is really nice to have. Imagine kneeling on the floor drying off squirmy toddlers. Storage is always good. Hooks are easier for younger kids to hang towels on than bars. Teenagers don't hang up towels, no matter what is provided. Having said all this, they are little for far too short a period of time. Don't feel the need to make drastic changes to accommodate young kids that you won't find useful later....See Moretrough sink in kids bathroom
Comments (3)And there are also stainless 16 gauge sinks that are very rectangular that can be used. My real favorite though are those ones by ConcreteStone, etc that look like carved out stone. I think they might be made from concrete to look like stone. Those are sooooooo cool! With wall mounted faucets to drop in. Your kids will love you....OK I'm dreaming again!...See MoreKids/Guest Bathroom - Single or Double sink vanity?
Comments (10)Good point Zookeeper63!. At the moment we all huddle in to the master bathroom while the kids shower together, and we all have a family teeth brushing session so it feels like we need the two sinks - one parent, one kid to a sink. You point out correctly that that will not likely be the case as they grow older, or if we have guests. The vanity we are choosing would either have two big drawers, or four drawers. I assume that this would be enough storage for extra things - hair dryers, toilet rolls, toothpastes, shampoos etc. But, if we go the single sink route, it gives us room to instead also have a tall cabinet which would add even more storage. In fact, with that, we could skip getting the Godmorgon (medicine cabinet style) mirror cabinets and just use the tall cabinet for storage. Good pointers Zookeeper63. Almost feels obvious but, obviously not! :) Thank you....See MoreElectric code bathroom trough sink
Comments (3)The sink is a trough sink with two faucets. So my question is if it counts as one sink since it has one basin, or two sinks because it has two faucets....See More- 13 years ago
