Definately HERITAGE and PRETTY JESSICA. They get blasted for poor disease resistance, which hasn't been my experience. I can think of other English Roses, which get heaped with praise, that are a lot more susceptible to black spot. Both are also dependable bloomers here in the Mid-Atlantic. My biggest problem with the English Roses is the sketchy repeat, but I can always count on Heritage and Pretty Jessica to be generous bloomers. Then there is all the griping about shatter-syndrome with Heritage. Well last year, as an experiment, I cut a spray of blooms from my Heritage while the flowers were still in tight bud. Every other day I recut the stems and changed the vase water. In the end I got 5 whole days of beauty before tossing the spray. The petals were still attached. The only reason I tossed it was because the blooms had started to decompose and rot. Heritage & Pretty Jessica are GREAT roses. Another English Rose that gets dumped on by a certain California rosarian is THE PILGRIM. I have two specimens being grown espalier-like in partial shade and each is a gorgous performer. I can't stress enough the difference that own root makes with the Jolly Green Giants. It is simply the only way to go with the more vigorous Austins. Patrick

It is dependent on the community to do their part in informing all of us. If you hear of bad sites here or someplace else you can go to your wot page and enter the url for that site to see the Wot ratings and comments, there you can add your own comments and if you hit the edit your ratings you can add your ratings also, it is very important to help spread the word.

I'm sorry I was not more specific. Go HERE and then Click on the cracker to get to the personal web page. Raven, I expect you just clicked on the link to their (GW) member page, right? When I see the red wot warnings what I do is click on that warning where it says you can check their rating page, and see why they got rated that way also many times people will write comments saying why they rated it that way. Without doing any clicking the warning page that displays says the Trustworthiness is unsatisfactory Vendor reliability, Privacy, and Child Safety all show as POOR. In doing a Google search on freewebpage.org (which showed in the URL when I got the warning), I see that the search results show all sites with freewebpage.org in their address have a RED WOT warning. Any ideas as to why?

I just lost my precious baby boy, Romeow, to FIP this morning. I had only had him for two weeks and he was only "normal" for about two days. Then the loss of appetite started, weight loss, lethargy. We took him to the vet (twice) where they gave us meds for hookworms and antibiotics for fever but he just became more and more lethargic and sad. I had to feed him with a syringe and give him the high-vitamin cat gel. Anyway, he just seemed worse and worse so I took him to the emergency vet this morning and his little tummy was so swollen, his third eyelids had been showing for the last few days and his gums were white. They drew fluid from his abdomen and they said it was likely that he had FIP. I had him put down because I didn't want him to suffer. I've been crying non-stop since then, and I also have five kids who are heart-broken. I AM SO ANGRY AT THE BREEDER. She eluded that something could be wrong with him (AFTER WE PURCHASED HIM). She wanted us to put him to sleep without even trying to figure out what was going on with him! I'm so sad I can't even think straight right now. Even in two short weeks he was such a wonderful little guy. I miss him so much.
