No! Don't stop taking zycam.....stop squirting it up your nose!
What it's all about is using your head, read ingredients and pay attention to your body.
Zinc boosts the immune system...zycam sprayed up your nose burns like hell.....and if you do it more than once, you are not paying attention to your body.

Homeopaths often are ahead of their time....I have been taking extra calcium for years.....and extra vitamin D, even though I got lots of sun time. I knew my nails were better when I did and I figured that said something.
Now every hospital and doctor is saying calcium reduces the incidence of colon cancer as well as contributes to reduction in heart disease.

Pay attention to what you put into your mouth....does it make sense? Do you feel better or worse...and read labels!

Taking calcium is not "homeopathy" Linda. You're confusing that word with "alternative" or "holistic" which are non-specific terms. Homeopathy is a specific type of quack remedy, but from that article it looks like Zicam was not really homeopathic anyway.

I take Zicam whenever I feel a cold coming on. It works great - for me. But I don't use the nasal type, I use the oral dissolving tabs or chewables. No sense of smell problems. That said, my son used the nasal spray and lost his sense of smell. After it happened he did some internet reading and discovered that it is a possible side effect. Thankfully it was temporary. I asked him about his sense of smell today and he said it came back.
