chips/grout grit on new acrylic tub
Comments (0)I posted this Sat. but being a noob to this forum am not sure it went through so let me apologize in advance if this is a double posting. Despite my requests to protect my new tub at all costs.... my contractor and workmen did NOT protect my tub... I have fine grit on all flat surfaces of my new air/jacuzzi tub and some chips and scratches. Can anybody advise what the best way is to repair these? Thanks....See MoreSmall chip in new acrylic tub...what to do?
Comments (6)The professional fellow came out yesterday afternoon to fix the dent. The chip is gone, like heimert said, but I too notice a different "spray look" texture in that area. The man said to let it dry for 24 hours and did not say he would be back to sand. So, I guess that is the way it is intended to stay. Actually you have to really look to see it. It is really not very noticable to me unless I really look for it....See MoreTubs with built-in headrest or Wasauna brand bath tub?
Comments (3)seattlemamadrama ~Well my Wasauna story ended badly. The first tub was drained the wrong way for me. I shipped it back at their expense and received my replacement last week. The crate was in horrible condition, held together by plastic wrap about 2 times around it. The person who sent it to me must have received my tub and we just traded. I sent him one in perfect condition never removed from the crate. The tub he sent me was dirty, removed from the crate and damaged with scratches. I refused the delivery and call Alex for a refund. He tried to give me 300.00 off and get a new one sent to me but I just took my refund. I have not seen the credit on my card as yet, it has been 4 days. I would say stay away from them. I am in the process of looking for something else now. Good luck to you! Mariofo...See MoreMaster bath Tub or no tub
Comments (9)The overwhelming majority of demographics for your complex would prefer a great shower versus a mediocre tub/shower. Aging people who want to age in place need a shower - and as large as possible because stepping over a tub becomes increasingly problematic. Design with both function (bench and as many grab bars as possible to be reachable anywhere in the shower). While many older people are nimble up to a certain point, there are also periods when they might not be able to bathe and among my senior friends many have given up baths even if they previously enjoyed them because of difficulty of getting up from the tub. While you might lose a buyer who absolutely demands a tub in the master, the greater number will appreciate a great shower. And, if someone really wants a tub experience as critical, chances are they would prefer a larger soaking experience versus a tub/shower combo which doesn't provide the best experience for bathing or showering....See Morebradleyj
