Work has just begun on my bathrooms, so stuff is still in boxes in the garage, so take this for what it's worth, but I bought American Standard for one bathroom, Toto for another. Everyone I spoke to who seemed to know stuff thought they were both quality faucets.

I bought the American Standard faucets through Home Depot after making sure it was their regular stuff, not a cheaper, crappier line specially manufactured for HD. We wanted the stainless steel finish, which was much pricier than the chrome. The 8" spread faucet for the sink was about $400. The Toto in chrome from a fairly pricey kitchen and bath store was $450 after the trade discount they gave me.

Towel bars etc came from Restoration Hardware. Their stuff seems good quality to me. After using a coupon ($100 off on $500 or more purchase), representative prices after what came to a roughly 20% discount were $65 for an 18" towel bar and $48 for toilet paper holders.

I don't think the quality stuff comes cheap, to say the least.

From what I can tell, www.faucetdirect.com has good prices on quality items.

We are using Smedbo accessories, very nice, from Sweden. A bit pricey and modern, but that fits our style. Cheesy accessories are all too common.

I have purchased selected items (towel bars, glass shelf, push button light switches) from Rejuvenation which were excellent and sometimes less expensive, and towel racks, hooks, lights from Restoration also top notch but pricey.

I recently purchased the Spritz towel bars, towel ring, and tissue holder from Restoration Hardware. I am very pleased with the construction so far. I haven't had them very long, but the quality seems very high.

Great prices and service.

Kohler Kelston for everything but the handheld Grohe faucet. Nothing was cheap but the quality is good. I would like to get g glass vanity shelf with attached towel bar and all I can find that will fit in style-wise is from Show House. I saw their line at the Ferguson showroom and it seems fine.

We actually found some very substantial towel bars and robe hooks at Marshalls when we were looking last winter. Train rack from Pottery Barn.

Have you gone into a Home Goods (or marshalls or tjmaxx) lately? I got all my home stuff from there. I had to drive to several to get all the sets needed but I am impressed with quality, esp at the price I paid. Most were less than 10 bucks.

The faucets and accessories for our master bathroom addition were Monticello by Moen. That was 12 years ago and everything is still in excellent condition except for the handheld shower nozzle, which needs replacement due to peeling "chrome" (I am told this is expected wear on that particular part). We used Moen (Kingsley this time) faucets and accessories for our second bathroom, renovated this year. It's been only a couple of months but so far these seem of comparable quality to the others, and I am very happy with both. We got ours from a local kitchen/bath showroom, but they can also be found online.
