We just bought a Price Pfister for our basement bathroom. Have not installed it yet, but it seems like a decent faucet. Quite heavy and not full of plastic parts.

I think there may be lower end pieces with many of the brands, along with their higher quality pieces. My suggestion would be if you find something you like, take it out of the box and look it over, feel the weight and check the inegrity of the piece befoe you buy it.

The worst faucet in our house is a Delta that our plumber installed. It's a cheap piece of junk!

I have a Price Pfister in my bathroom. It is chrome and the chrome has started to peel off. On the other hand, it has not leaked or had any other problems, but the peeling chrome is not acceptable. I wouldn't buy PP again.

I just ordered a Kohler faucet for my new bathroom. I have a Grohe Ladylux in the kitchen, which is nice but not really worth the expense.

Oh -- and stay away from Danze. I had that in the kitchen and it was a mess. I have read poor reviews of their products.

I truly believe that the big box stores carry inferior quality items. I'd buy online or from a plumbing supply store.

The plumbers who did our bathroom spoke very scornfully of Price-Pfister.

I just went downstairs and checked. I would have sworn the new one was Price Pfister, but alas....it's a Delta.

Didn't think I'd buy Delta again since our kitchen faucet is such crap! LOL This one seems much nicer, tho. I think the plumber installed a Delta cheapie... Guess we'll find out.

I've had no problem with the one PP faucet I bought, but then again it's only been a couple years since I installed it parents in my parents' bath lav.

I've never bought high end fixtures, but have had problems which I felt were premature with Kohler, Delta and Moen. Honestly a slightly higher problem rate with Moen. But I'll tell you one thing about them - over the years they seem to be typing up overnight labels for free replacement parts and even full fixtures before I can even finish b;tch;ng about my problem. First rate customer service IMO. I have Moen fixtures awaiting installation in my upstairs bath.

I just added an entirely new bathroom in my upstairs late last fall. I put in a Grohe shower setup because I wanted no problems because of all the tile. But I saved some $$ on the sink faucet and used one by PP. It was the look I wanted and if there is a problem, I figured that it would be easy to change. So far so good.. working fine.

Oops, just gave you the same info on the Bathroom Forum. I knew I had answered this question already!

I did plumbing and remodeling for years. I just bought a Moen for my Kitchen Sink.
It was the only one I was happy with, because of the length.
It had to reach 2 sink bowls.
Never had a problem with Moen. Did with Delta.

If anyone has a VA Card , Lowes and Home Depot,
gives a 10 % discount to Vets.

It has been shown that high-end kitchen appliances may not last as long, and I would assume that some high-end plumbing fixture are the same.

The reason is because the manufacturers do not sell too many of these highly styled items and cannot afford the costs to improve on durability.
