Might try while WLM is open to press F1 key fwiw.. I have username@Hotmail.com If I send mail to my username@Live.com it doesnt get delivered. So I would have to open a brand new account to have the same address & then would have two unique email accounts at two different web address's.

I guess I should have said, Windows Live Mail; is it a different program ? Anyway, there is no "file" area that I can find. It is a very busy address type bar at the top of the program and very confusing. I think I may have done it, but in the mean time, I lost all of the mail in my in box on my server. ..........very frustrating. Windows Live mail does NOT want one to navigate away from their program and makes it very difficult to not make them the default mail program. salbwil

check in tools under accounts,select your account,Click on the Properties button. This will bring up Properties box with the General tab selected,In the white box under "Mail Account," you can change the name of the account, if you like. You can give the account whatever name you want. (Note: filling out the "Name" field and the "Organization" field is optional..) where it says display name field see if it has your name there if so you need to change that to what ever it is you want it to say like your email address. I don't know anyone who supplies there real info to web based email accounts. Why would anyone do that?? What ever info you enter should be written down and saved somewhere though. If you should ever forget your password or your account gets hijacked they will ask you for you "information". After all they can't just send out passwords for accounts to just anybody who asks for it claiming to be the owner of said account. I learned this the hard way with my Yahoo account. They needed to know my birthday in order to retrieve my password for me and how the heck would I remember what I had put down when I signed up? Good-bye Yahoo email account. Some email services ask for your referrer email account too so take note of that also.
