Andrea, After speaking with Sony support this afternoon, my dad had a cyber shot and Viao computer (I now have but don't use), they suggested the links I provided to you. At a minimum it should allow access through device manager. As I suggested above you can get a USB card reader, sorry I didn't clarify for older cards as well. I appreciate the way you treat folks that try and help you. It is no wonder others now refuse to help you. I may be wrong but since you won't try what is suggested, as usual, we will never know. it is a very new update and yes it is a security update so I would do the update, you should be able to just open your adobe and hit update. You can definitely get foxit if you prefer it is a good program, it has had some security updates lately also because the same holes were found in both applications. However it has recently gone in the hall of shame for trying to get you to install un needed and un wanted toolbars and other things so be careful, if you search here I posted a thread about what to watch for, I think it had foxit in the title so search for that.

Owbist and azbound... Following your advice, I had Belarc do a computer profile summary of my laptop. I do see a product key listed with this endnote: "e. This may be the manufacturer's factory installed product key rather than yours. You can change it to your product key using the procedure at http://www.belarc.com/msproductkeys.html." I followed the link to change my product key, but alas, the operating systems listed only went to Windows 7. I've been on google for an hour and can only find dead links on how to do this in Win 8.1. Laptop was purchased online BestBuy so I doubt the store will help me. I will check their site or contact the store today if I get the chance. How big an issue is this if I leave what seems to be the factory installed product key as is?

A bent cop is a bad cop. He takes bribes, warns criminals about police activity, etc. He closes his eyes to the crimes of other cops who do the same or use the badge to intimidate people. I think it's a British term, but I've seen it used locally in Chicago newspapers. I think we've watched at least some of every British TV drama series ever made! We also enjoyed a Canadian series "Intelligence" that was set in Vancouver. I think that had two seasons. This reminds me, it's time to make out our annual check to Friends of the Library. Only fair, considering all the free entertainment provided for our Teatime Matinees most afternoons! It helps them buy yet more things for the community to share.
