Word document as attachment to email

I have a Word document, which I have to attach to an email.

Please advise how to do that.

Hi naturelle,

What I would do first is put the document you need to send on the desktop so you can easily browse to it. Open your E-Mail and click the attachment feature now a browse tab should open, click browse and browse to the desktop and double click the word document you need to send. It will be set as an attachment.

OR:
Open the Word Doc, go up to File, down to Send To, over to Mail Recipient.

Hi, If those suggestions fail to help then, Regarding this error only: Windows keeps telling me Microsoft Word is open In some cases with Windows 7 and Vista. When you try to delete a word document.,you can get a pop up that says, unable to delete because word is open, when in fact it's not. Possible issue / cause: Windows Preview Pane locks files for extended period Vista has a Hotfix for this problem, windows 7 has a work around. That being: Open Explorer, click Organize --> Layout and deselect "Preview Pane" on the view options. Then delete the file or document. Restarting may help the situation too.

Sorry for the delay. Cablevision is my internet carrier - and I access the internet through Optimum (have phone, tv and on line service with Optimum. When I send and receive emails my address would be: .....@optonline.net. I received an email with an attachment which I opened and I then in turn sent it to Microsoft Word to make some changes - which I did - but then couldn't send it back to my email address and/or to the person who sent it to me Thanks.

bob - I have 07 and that's why I couldn't figure out why I was having a problem. I just went to "help" at the top of Microsoft Outlook and clicked on Office Diagnostics and told it to diagnose and fix any problems. It went through the process and said there weren't any problems to fix, but now it works. I hope it sticks. Any ideas why that happened though? Laurie

Ted,

The sending or attaching procedure of a file will depend on the e-mail client or service you use though they are mostly the same. It is simple to do, but we need to know what you use. If you use a web based e-mail do you have it configured through a client, i.e. Thunderbird?
