Kaspersky calls this invasive. I tried to uninstall it and Kaspersky said I don't have sufficient capability to do this and I need an administrator to do it.

Tried to uninstall it from control panel and it won't uninstall. I realize it some kind of backup software but should I get rid of it. I have Seagate backup.

Have no clue how to get Zimbra off of my iPhone. I assumed everything zynced with wifi.

that just means you have to allow it to be done give your administrator rights, that happens a lot in windows 7 it is just the uac. They are set that way to help protect you but you can simply choose to ok each time it ask if a program needs admin rights.Right click on the program shortcut or program .exe file, and click on Run as administrator

It is not invasive but some of what it has to do to make the back up can be detected by some AV programs that way it is not a danger.

Thanks for the uac settings info, especially the one on how to run a program as an administor.

The computer world is full of evil and I am constantly, constantly defending my territory on my pc and gadgets. Amazing how often i find a terrorist hiding. About every week as you know.

It never would have occurred to me to purchase software to track my garden. Like you, I find an Excel spreadsheet to be a versatile tool for tracking the information that interests me, and a simple Word document, or file of documents, can contain any quirky info not suitable for a spreadsheet. In addition to the computer-drawn plan, I have a large-scale printout of my new garden plan with a 10' by 10' grid for a visual record of the location of specimens. The grid coordinates go into the spreadsheet, and my husband swears he's going to give me GPS coordinates for the plants. : ) I once had a paper garden journal, but my entries were very sporadic so the result is incomplete, and the journal lacked any organization beyond calendar dates, not very useful for the type of data you are keeping. System Restore is usually from your "C:\System Volume Information" a hidden folder by default. Sounds like your D has the OEM install files on it.. to revert your computer hard drive back to Out of the Box new condition. If you didn't delete any of it :) .... An image of your C drive made by a program like Macrium will usually compress to about half the total used bytes that that drive shows as currently used in windows. Usually too big to image to DVD's unless you don't mind spending the time it would take to do,,, and of course the cost of several DVD's. My C drive is small compared to most peoples on win7 and shows 60gb used .. divided by about 4.7gb per DVD.. thats a lot of DVD's and lots of time sitting there changing those disks. fwiw Paid about $11 delivered from newegg for a usb hard drive enclosure and stuck an old laptop hard drive in it & use that here to save system images to weekly. Think DVD-R's cost me about $0.40 each in a pack of 50 including tax from Office Depot.

Typically the slightly fancier (read expensive) external hard drives come with more comprehensive software. That's not to say, you couldn't back-up manually, use Window's back-up software, or find some freeware that will accomplish the same thing. I would suggest sticking to drives made by Western Digital or Seagate. They seem to have the best track record for reliability. A second, off-site, backup plan is a better plan. While an external drive will be helpful in case of a hardware it won't help in the of something like a fire. There are online options or you could, depending on the size of your back-up, burn DVDs and put them in a safety deposit box or send them to a trusted relative or friend.

Touch and hold the Zimbra icon until the icons start shaking and a little X appears by them. Release. Then touch the X by the Zimbra icon. Press the home button. Zimbra deleted.

Thanks Mike,

Zimbra does not have an icon unfortunately. It exists as a program that came up looking like a list of mail very similar to the mail program. Now I don't see it but will look for possible icons when it returns.

Here are the instructions for installing Zimbra. Again it appears that it can't just suddenly appear.

In any case, if you don't want to use Zimbra go into 'Settings' then 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars' then choose 'Zimbra', then scroll down to the bottom and hit the red delete account button.

Ok found it under website data "gallery.Zimbra.com " .6kb......i can delete that. Question: do you use it and if so why?

Also, I see website items I would like gone for good. Make a rule, block it. Is there a way to do that and clean out mail items reoccurance for good?
