Which version of Excel are you using? My old Excel 2000 prints what I type.

I am using Excel 2002. I am not sure if I am making myself clear.
On the left I have each row numbered starting with 1.
On row 1, I want to put a name
But on the line above row 1, I want to put my titles like NAME;
But it only allows me to put my titles on the row 1.
Can I somehow put the titles above the row 1.

You have to add a column for the number field. Then the titles at the top will be

NUMBER NAME ADDRESS CITY ETC

There are lots of templates at the above link so all you have to do is download one and fill in the information you want.

OK. I am still not understanding.
What you see in this photo is what I have npw.
I want to add my names but I want the first name to be on the lline with the number 1.
What can I do to accomplish this.

Start by moving all of your headings one column to the right.

Then in the empty space at the top of column A type "NUMBER".

Next, in column A, on row 2 type number "1" and continue across the columns filling in your first name and address, etc.

In column A on row 3 put number "2" and enter your second name.

Don't worry about the fixed row numbers on the left - they are just to help you find your way around the Excel page (simplified explanation).

Step by step here's what I would do. Click on the 'A' to select that column. Right click and select 'Insert'. That will add a new column A. In that column put a '1' before the cell where the first name will be. Put a '2' in the next row and a '3' in the third. You can then select those 3 cells and by putting your cursor in the lower right hand corner of the selected area you can pull it down and excel will keep adding consecutive numbers to the following rows.
