Comments (52)Karen Brubaker -- I think we did. It literally has been so long since we had the plans modified that I really can't remember. I know we enlarged the kitchen and living room. One of the really beautiful things about this plan is the windows. The lumber rep kept asking me if I wanted to shrink the window size and I refused. So glad I held my ground. We have a bonus room above the garage -- they are still working (does it ever end?) on the bathroom tile up there, but the views from that room are amazing. Here is a photo of the master bedroom....See MoreFront loader shopping, king sized bedding, Electrolux ?s
Comments (73)Hi cj47 We really like our EL wahser/dryer and have had zero problems. On the washer we usually add extra water to the cycles just to get a better wash and rinse. To tell the truth we haven't tried it without the extra water but we've heard people complain about other front loaders and that they wish they had the option to add more water. We leave the washer door open when we're not using it so the door gasket dries out. Also we'll occasionally wipe the gasket and glass in the door with used towels as we put them in the washer and we haven't had any strange smells from the door gasket. The washer uses very little detergent. I suggest you use less than recommended by Electrolux. The dryer has been great too. I've used the steam freshen cycle to take the wrinkles out of clothes I want to wear but are not yet dirty (or not too dirty to wear!). This worked well. Our contractor and plumber scratched their heads at why we needed a water supply for the dryer... The programming is super easy. My wife usually doesn't like programmable controls but after the first couple of tries she has not had any problem with them, or with the electronic wave touch controls on the Electrolux Icon double ovens. Good luck! Billy...See MoreForget the damn pants!!! It's OVER!!! Finally!
Comments (28)LOL, we got a letter today from our attorney (a copy of the letter she sent BM's attorney) reminding him that the court said BM had to pay the whole thing. Considering BM's voice message to DH: "Call me as soon as you get my message. I just got off the phone with Dr. XX and they gave me a figure.. and um, it's just not gonna happen cuz neither you nor I can come up with that amount... so I have a call into my lawyer and um, I don't know what we're gonna do.. but I just wanted to give you the figure.. so give me a shout." Honestly, I think she lives in her own realm... disconnected from reality. She was in court when the Judge agreed that since she owed DH, she would pay all of it. And our attorney said the evaluation would cost around $5,000. So why is it a surprise to her? Why would she say "neither you nor I can come up with" or "I don't know what WE'RE gonna do" like it's THEIR joint problem... It's HER problem. He'd rather get the back support from her and leave things the way they are than have the back support used up for an evaluation to change everything. But, that's the nut job we have to deal with!...See MoreBuilding an Elberton Way by Mitch Ginn
Comments (10)Wow, I just found this thread and am so excited! I'd found and read another about this plan earlier. I'd love to see the floor plans you guys are using or did use! We are using this plan as the base of what we hope to build too! Just this week, I managed to catch our potential new neighbors, living next to a lot we purchased, outside and introduced myself. Given my unusual name, she easily found me and connected with me on Facebook. Her husband builds staircases and handrails and so was interested in what we might build. I shared the EW floor plan. Today, she messaged me to tell me that new clients had come in to meet Micah, her husband, and they are building this plan! She went on to say that they had mentioned that they visited a completed house in Brentwood, TN, which I'm guessing might be one of yours?? So, anyway, I'm hoping to connect with those people. If you are on here and building this plan in central Kentucky, please message me, I'd love to talk to you!!!!...See Moremissstaceyh
