I once had a set of patterns that were for baby-quilt blocks. They were little characters made from wooden beads strung on strings, these characters were doing typical children's activities (riding a stick horse...). After I made a woman a photo copied set, she came to visit me and stole my original set as well. (She had never given any indication she would do something like that so I felt no need to keep them out of sight). There were nine patterns in the set and it came out in the 50's. Any ideas where i might find another set. She stole three different pattern sets, but that was the oldest and the one I missed the most.

A well cut diamond is a good stone forever until is gets damaged usually by chipping. Your round cut, brillaint stone is probably a standard cut often referred to as a SRB cut or Standard Round Brilliant. The SRB has 16 sides (girdle facets), Pavillion (bottom part) facets: 16 meeting the gridle plus 8 more mains; and Crown facets: 32 facets plus the table, for a total of 57 facets not coumting the girdle facets. Since its development, this cut have proven to be excellent and is the standard by which other cuts are measured. A 1 caret SRB diamond is an excellent (and expensive) engagement stone. It looks very good mounted on either gold color or white platnium. Diamonds are graded by the 4 Cs: Cut, Clarity, Color, and Caret. Water clear, transparent, with minimum to no flaws are the most desireable with exception of certain colors. Some of world's most expensive diamonds are blue and pale yellow. I suspect that your stones with a brown cast would be downgraded. However, let your jeweler be your guide. One can not grade a stone without seeing it and inspecting it under magnification. The person who grades your stones ahould have trained at, and hold a certificate from the GIA (Gemeological Instutite of America).

I did check my purse/lining too Jannie. At least my purse is clean now. LOL While I was in California, I had my DS and her DH staying off and on here, with my dog and 2 cats. I thought I remembered talking all my extra keys out of my purse (metal detector & extra weight) and putting them in this kitchen junk drawer. But when I looked in there, there was only the other 2 sets and not the trailer set. So, I asked my sister at church this morning, if she'd seen any keys with a green metal bottle opener on it. (She's more scatter brained than I am sometimes.) She said gee, I kinda remember feeling some keys in my pocket, then spaced it off, thinking they were probably some extra car keys of theirs. Then she called and said she'd found them in her jacket pocket. She was having trouble using my key pad on the garage, and she thought those were house keys because one is marked 'front' door, so she took them in case she couldn't get the garage door open. So, phew, what a relief. I'll be getting an extra set made for the trailer. Leslie
