Anyone using Miele Steam Oven for Canning?

Hello,

We are in the midst of our kitchen remodel (2 more weeks left!) and I'm very excited to start using our Miele Steam Oven before summer is over. Having read the manual, there wasn't too much information about canning. I'm unclear if you put the tops on before you set the steamer, and if so, do you put on both the round top and tightening hollow lid, or just the round top, and if using the lid how tight do you make it? Do you need to sterilize the lids and jars in boiling water first or does the steam oven sterilize on its own? Any details or step by step guidance on what real users are doing for canning techniques would be most appreciated. (By the way I've only made jams the traditional way on the stove top, so I'm still a novice when it comes to all things canning). Thanks
